I naively planned to put a modern external receptacle on our RV. Bought a kit but adapting it to the current mouse hole was going to be too complicated so I cut the cord leaving about 5' attached to the converter and put on a regular mini 30amp male plug. I then put the kit female plug on the removed cord. Doh, plugs don't match! This adaptor works perfectly and now we are compatible with every permutation / combination of cords & plugs - in addition to having a more secure twist lock connection!
