How strong is this? Like do the draws hang when you pull them out or are they sturdy?

Very sturdy drawers are just small won’t hold much

Not sure exactly bur all drawers have same depth. I had to pinch drawer pull yo open they were so tiny so I returned. Probably just bug enough for travel size shampoo or contact solution per drawer and only one maybe 1.5 at best.

Is there a way i could just get the three drawer pieces, but not the fourth part that goes on top?

They come as a set and dont think you can get without top but they just sit on each other. Just don't put other piece on.
