It comes in a small bag that is squooshable, about 6"x8". It would be easy to pack. It flies so easily and is a lot of fun!

is there instructions ?also is it just a kite with string attached ?I only have a kite with some kind of string attached-no handle just hold string?

This came with the kite shaped like an octopus that had a bridle already attached to the kite body. It also had a handle wrapped in kite line. Just tie and knot the kite line to the kite bridle. I did more than a few knots in case of strong winds. The octopus head is a hollow shell that fills with air and floats. The streamers give it the legs. It's super easy. I had it ready within minutes while the kids waited. No one died of impatience or boredom. Good sign.

What material is this made out of?

It's a really light fabric almost like silk.
