I should have waited
Its a good quality item but I shouldn't have been so hasty in buying it. I bought my previous one at Costco and I could have bought this one at Costco too, for £9 less.

This strainer is GREAT! I have tried different kinds and enjoy the different ways it can be used--draining fruit, washing vegetables and safely letting the hot water drain from pastas. It fits well on our sink (glad it is expandable) and is very sturdy. I feel like it is safer than my old ones in which I had to hold onto the round strainer or the half moon plastic one and the silicone clip-on kind did not work well at all). There are protection bars on the straining part to give it strength and the ability for it to fit into your sink and not just across it. Good price and excellent product!
