Great product!
My husband used this to patch up our boat. He said it worked great. I think it looked great by the time he was done!

Perfect for a gouge on a PWC
Kit is very simple and good for small nicks, cuts and gouges. I had no problem following instructions and the results were better than I expected for my rookie repair talents. I didn't have to mix any paint colors as the original gel coat was white. Just applied the white in the mix until it matched and came out very nice. Would suggest wearing some sort of disposable gloves as the materials and paint could cause problems. If I have another repair I will use this product.

great and easy to use!!
I needed to repair a crack in the bottom of my hull. It appeared that the crack was only through the gel coat and not through the fiberglass. I took a dremel tool and ground the crack open to about an 1/8" of an inch and went past the crack a little as well. This allowed me to inspect and see how deep the crack was. Luckily it was only the gel coat!! The bottom is of my hull is a faded blue. Its a little tough to match the color, make sure you mix your color first until you are happy than add the hardener. I taped around the crack with blue painters tape and added the gel coat. That way when you scrape the product off you have a just little but more that you can sand down. I stared with 600 wet sand and went to a 1000, than i used a heavy compound and a wool pad and buffer. It was ended up very smooth and than just apply your typical wax and you are done. They give you quite a bit of material so only mix a little at a time pending on the size of the repair. Im going to try and dremel out some of the spider cracks next and repair those on the topside. This is a very good product, we will see if it last through the sailing season.

Great Product, easy to follow instructions!
I loved this product. I bought a buffer and 3 grits of sandpaper to repair the gel coat on the bottom of my 2019 Nitro Z19 fiberglass. I started by using a dremel bit on the damaged areas, then sanded them with 180 grit paper so the repair would stick. I followed the instructions included, and applied more gel coat than needed to the area. I waited a while, then came back and shaped the area with 180 grit (BE SURE TO KEEP THE SANDPAPER WET), then smoothed some with 400 grit, then some more with 1200 grit. I then used a buffer to make a seamless repair. This product worked great! These photos are before and afters of the affected areas

Check your colors!
For starters, make sure whatever color you are trying to match, make the paste a shade lighter. I repaire a chip in my gelcoat and the following cracks using this kit. I matched my teal striping on my boat to a TEE when it was wet and mixing. However, as it dried and hardened, it was a darker shade and I now have a dark spot on my boat that I'm going to have to re-cover to match. Other than that, some 1000-grit sandpaper takes a while to sand it down, but leaves the finish smooth and consistent. Make sure that you work fast and have acetone on hand or plan to go get some while you're waiting for it to dry. The package says one hour, but give it 2. Wax paper appears to be the best covering while it is curing unless you have a roll of stiff plastic hanging around. I've been told that GLAD WRAP works well, however I tried that at first and noticed it wrinkling a lot, which would have given a very uneven finish and caused extra sanding. In the end, a great product, that has saved me time and money. My repair is water proof and absorbed the Meguiar's Flagship Boat Wax just like the rest of my hull.

Trivial result
Trivial result, depending on amount of pigment in the mix, supplied gel is colorless and instructions restrict amount of pigment to 5 %. I was successful in repairing few dents and scratches initially, it's been about a year since than and my attempt to plug few holes has turned into nightmare, I plugged the holes with Marine Tex and attempted to finish and match color of oxidized, yellowish gel coat using same stuff that was properly sealed and stored since used first time. Each time I matched the color very close, mixed in correct amount of hardener and ended up with rubber like mess that never cures. The key seems to be in colorless gel, most boats are white so gel should be white to start with, adding proper amount of pigment to match the color seems to be overkill and hinders curing process, this is assuming hardener is still good. So in conclusion, this product is awfully expensive, disproportionally oversaturated with pigments you will never need or use, instructions are trivial and so is the result, how do you figure proper amount of pigment that matches color but does not exceed 5% of the gel volume?, wasted money and aggravation of having to cleanup uncured mess is beyond description. Manufacturer should figure out proper repair kit for small job and package it with clear and simple instructions, this kit is good only if you get lucky and you'll likely waste most of it on experimenting before you get lucky. My guess is that most people who left 5 stars reviews have green, blue, black, red and yellow boats,....... and most, if not all have PHD in chemistry so they can easily eye ball less then 5% of pigment per one teaspoon of gel and still precisely match the existing oxidized color of their boats. Rob me once, shame on you, rob me twice, shame on me.

Surprised how good this stuff is
Super easy. Just follow the instructions. Be a little patient. It doesn't take much time at all. Super surprised at the results. If you take time and apply it properly and put in just a little bit of elbow grease you will get some incredible results. I've taken the boat out at least five times since applying this to seven problem areas and it's held up perfectly. The problem spots that I repaired were between a quarter inch up to a full inch in length of repair. Little patches here and there.

Good product , however after a perfect colour mix , when sanded it turns a much lighter shade, even after a buffing ,it was different shade than the hardened sample mix..but it did work , just the problem above was maddening. Thats why it is 2 stars short .
