This set of tools is awesome, strong
I bought my first set at Sears, but they discontinued selling them because everybody stop buying craftsman. This set of tools is awesome, strong, versatile and compact. Purchased the second set for my other car. It’s nice because you don’t have to worry whether your car is foreign or domestic. They fit.

Need a new case!
Love the product, the case was cracked, I have written twice and have not heard back from the seller.

What doesn't fit doesn't work and is frustrating for $600.
The case did not fit one tool and other pieces (6-8) fell all over when case was opened. The return was made easy. I just hope the larger set of 76 pieces will be made available to me soon for they were out of them and I hope someone is awake and checks the tools and case that they work.

Decent tool, ridiculous price!
I've had a set of these for many years now. They've held up to lots of abuse and have really come in handy. I read about them years ago in an off road magazine. They suggested them for guys like me with Jeep Cherokees. This is because, even on my 1998 Cherokee, they used both metric and standard bolts in various places. I believe the article was about traveling as light as possible while still having what you needed for trail side repairs. I still have the Jeep, still go off roading with it, and still have this tool set. Like other low reviews though, I bought this set for about $80. They had it on the clearance rack at a Sears Hardware store because it was missing the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. I of course just bought a Craftsman adapter and had a full set. This set is worth the nearly $100 I paid for them but $400 or more? Not a chance! They are decent enough, allow me to carry about 1/2 the sockets and wrenches, and hold up pretty well. But $400 for hand tools made in Taiwan? I can't believe this company still exists. The price of these are in the Snap-on - Mac- Matco etc, territory. They are no where near the quality of those tools. They are at the same level as most decent import sets and that's it. As far as I know they do not carry a lifetime warranty. Finding a replacement for a single socket or wrench requires you to go to the manufacturer who charges even more silly prices for individual tools. In addition to the above mentioned issues there is a problem with this set. There are a few common metric sizes that aren't covered in certain drive sizes. In other words, you may have to try and use an 1/8" drive socket because the size is not available in 1/4". For the most part I've nearly always have been able to figure out a way to use what was in the kit but not 100% of the time. For $400 it should not have any common sizes missing in any drive size. Add to this, the fact that they will not work on 12 point nuts and bolts and you may find yourself in a pickle even after you spend a kings ransom for this set. If these were priced appropriately I'd recommend them. With their current pricing, I believe they are way out of the ball park and no where near worth it. Heck, you could buy two quality import sets for about 1/4 the price of this set. Yes, you have to carry and store twice as many tools but space isn't this precious.

Blessings in disguise because this set is head and shoulders better than the 65 piece l had previously
My second set of Metrinch tools. I purchased my first set in 1995 and had them up until a few weeks ago when some rat stole them from me. Blessings in disguise because this set is head and shoulders better than the 65 piece l had previously. There was NOTHING that these tools can't handle. They are virtually indestructible and probably would survive a nuclear bomb.
