UDC Parts GX20072 Deck Belt, 1/2" x 104" Replacement for John Deere 42 Inch

Working great so far on a woods rd 7200 finishing mower ! Fit is great quality looked good. Only tan it for about an hour. But for the cost I don’t think it can be beat

This belt fit my Craftsman T1200. At 96.5 inches, it was a little shorter than the original but I had no trouble slipping it over the pulleys. When the blades were engaged, the engage lever was pretty tight, but I think that was a good thing because my ten year old belt just fell off the pulleys. The price was very reasonable. Where I can’t vouch for the durability yet, the product information mentions that it’s supposed to be durable.

So far, this belt works as expected. The fit was perfect for my Bad Boy ZT Elite with 60" deck. The original belt lasted for nearly 3 seasons, and this belt was a perfect replacement. It is definitely sturdy and strong. This is the first season that I've used it. I will update the review with how long it lasts.

It was easy to put on my edger and was a good fit. It worked great for about nine months and then frayed badly, slipped, and needs replacing. I am ordering a new OEM one from Troy Built. My original belt lasted 10 years. Update: I was contacted by this company’s product support and was issued a sincere apology and refund. Great customer service! I change my review from 2/5 to 4/5. I will definitely try this company again in the future. They truly stand behind their products!

OEM belts for this size are $50-$70 this was on a great special for $17and seems better quality than the one that came with my mower. Cub cadet model XT1 42 inch deck. Installation went smooth. Packaging was nice. Arrive faster than I could’ve gotten OEM one at 1/3rd the price. The size tolerance must be spot on because it fit perfectly no slop or burning in.

Worked like a charm, John Deere needs to get their act together with these mowers. That 107" belt for a 42 inch deck is way to oversized, and placement of those Zerk grease fittings come on John Deere engineers how many times have you service a mower, doubtful ever. Lots of wasted metal in production of a stamped deck, obviously their fabrication ideals are way out in left field; and, who has the bright ideal to change out the bolted down tensioner plate to welding to deck, sure sign John Deere is not about customer care, but money care. Stop using China Made belts on USA made mowers, those 107 in x. 500 belt are just as appeared "junk." Doubtful I will own another John Deere because the company basically sucks when comes to quality - I don't know why Pres. Trump begged JD to stay in USA when should had helped them pack for Mexico to sell their junk South of the Border.

I rarely leave reviews but this belt appears to be very well made. it went on and fits like a glove, exact size required by John Deere ... time will tell but so far I'm impressed with the quality and the price was less than half the dealership price.

This belt fits correctly and is driving fine. It has a pretty thick cross section which adds stiffness to the flex around the small radius idler and drive pulleys. The reverse bending on the flat idler is a really killer for the belts since it causes the belt to crack. None of these belts are really designed to survive the reverse flexing of the drive design, so expect a short life that would be considered totally unacceptable if it were on your car or truck. That's just the nature of the beast because of poor design practices, but non one really seems to expect anything better because it's just a mower. They could design and easily produce a drive belt that would never fail under normal use condition, but where is the market in that ??

Seems better quality materials than most. Only want the bother of fitting a new belt very rarely! No stretching or snapping please...

Belt began to disintegrate on third cutting of lawn. Had to put my old belt back on to finish mowing. Very disappointing.

Received as per purchase in a timely manner, it is what I ordered.

Damn!! Finally found one that fits, and works.
