Works great
I have about a 1 inch leg discrepancy a day these work fine. I only need 1 so having an extra is great. When using these for adjustment they should be hard. I put it under the original sole in my shoe. Foot doesn't slide forward like some others. BTW this is almost, but not quite an inch. 2.54 = 1 inch

Heavier folks take note
These lifts are OK but it's mostly cork material with a very, very thin layer of foam (maybe memory foam). I wear it on one foot playing baseball due to an Achilles injury, something about my pivot foot and the torque when swinging a bat. I'd ordered a 2cm, loved it completely -- until about 3 games in and I noticed the pain returning. Sure enough, the 2cm was squished down to about 1.5cm (if that). The height didn't return, unfortunately, but I still liked it enough to order the 3cm version, planning ahead. I'll post some photos so you can see the difference. Now, that said, I'm sure I give this thing a pounding (6 foot 2 and 235 lbs), so my experience may be totally different than yours. But I wouldn't expect so much loss in only 3 games, probably about 10 - 12 hours on it total. If you're walking around the mall and need the extra lift, they may work just fine. It may be that it compresses a bit but NOT notice the difference. In my case I have a very specific issue and that small difference I can actually feel. It could compress to a finite point, I'm not 100% sure. What I mean -- this 3cm version is probably going to compress to 2cm or so and stay somewhere in that range -- I sure wouldn't expect it to compress much further. It's a little misleading to push this as memory foam when there's definitely a deteriorating quality for heavier folks.

It works
I use it to correct the height difference in my legs. Super durable, and super comfortable. Saves me from a lot of back pain.

Works fine
I had ordered some height increase innersoles that are full length and then wanted to see if one just for the heel would work better because the full length so make the shoes a little tight. I do like them and they work ok in my athletic shoes which is mostly what I wear. Although my heel is a little high for the shoe I didn't find that they made my shoe slip off.

Don't buy these.
These are awful. Uncomfortable, don't fit properly in shoes, strangely shaped--they just don't work at all.

Recommended inserts
My left leg, as a result of a break and cancer, is shorter by about a quarter of an inch. These inserts are every bit as good as the expensive orthopedic inserts that I also have. Love that these inserts are easy to wear, fit nicely in all of my shoes, durable, and do a wonderful job to even up my walk. I recommend them highly to anyone who needs to restore a balance to their gait, or just wants to be a bit taller. They are a real bargain

Great hard shoe insert for heel pain
My husband had tried every insert for his shoes to help with his heel pain and none were hard enough. Till I ordered him these. He loves them has helped his heel pain a lot.

There are better options
The width is narrower than the shoe. The lifts compress too much. Personally I found silicone lifts that work better.
