It will fill in your hair. Will leave a lot of brown stains though, but that is expected with the territory. It is essentially a color hairspray because your hair will harden. I think it is better than the powder because it is less itchy and more full coverage. Unlike the powder, however, you need to spray your whole head for even coverage or else you look like a cheetah.

Let me start by saying, i love this product! It elevated my cover-up game to a whole new level, haha. - Now, these are fibers that spray out of a can, so you have to expect that some is gonna migrate around the room as you spray. But that’s okay, because i only use it in my bathroom and i clean my counter and floor daily in there. But i never expected to windex my glass table outside my bathroom about 5 feet away from the door and have the paper towel covered in fibers. So just know that this stuff travels quite a distance. - I do have a possible health concern i just wanna mention. At the end of the day, i’ll actually notice fibers in my nose from the application process. I’m gonna assume this cannot be safe to inhale and i can only imagine that it could cause some problems in your sinuses if you’re using this daily. I actually started wearing a mask when i apply it so i’m not breathing it in, and i HIGHLY recommend you all do the same! TIPS ON APPLYING: (I have a receding hairline on both sides and a little mid thinning.) I apply in 3 sections. Left, middle, right - I use a folded up microfiber cloth to shape hairline in each section and to prevent any fibers from spraying onto my forehead. - I spray hairspray, let it sit for 30-ish seconds then i brush through my hair. It helps blend it throughout the hair and removes some of it that didn’t hold so you don’t have any fallout. - I then apply a bit of the actual original Topix fibers on top of that. - Same proccess, spray a bit of hairspray & brush through. It lasts all day, and i have zero fallout. It doesn’t even rub off on my hands if i run my fingers thru my hair but it will come off if you rub your scalp. It even lasts multiple days if you don’t feel like washing your hair but i don’t recommend any longer than two days just because it’s not good to suffocate your hair follicles. It’ll actually worsen hair loss. I hope i helped some of you

This product should really get no stars, but I am being nice to give it one. This product is a remake of their Fullmore spray, which was wonderful. I used Fullmore for over ten years and loved it. Now Toppik gives you a sleek, skinny, silver can that has a spray button that is VERY difficult to push down. And, this new little can gives you 2.4 less ounces, for about the same price. A good deal for Toppik!! Anyway, after struggling with my first can, I began using my second can. The spray button was extremely hard to push down, and my hand had an awkward grip around that new skinny can. Because of the serious pressure I had to use with my index finger, and my awkward grip on that skinny can, the two tendons in my pinkie finger were ripped from the tip of my finger and have retracted into my wrist. Now my little finger will not bend at all. I am facing very expensive reconstructive surgery, and a good outcome is somewhat doubtful. And, my right hand and wrist will be in a cast for at least 8 weeks. Life is more difficult for me now with a pinkie finger that cannot bend. I have sent Toppik an Email explaining what has happened to me, but of course, I have heard nothing from them. If you use this product, be very careful!!! I have several more cans of this stuff, and I do like the results of using it, so I am now duct taping a washcloth around the skinny new can to improve my ability to grip it, and I am using much care when pushing the very hard to press spray button. Toppik needs to go back to the old green Fullmore can. I never had a problem with that! To be fair, Toppik has a great product, it is just being sold in an awful, dangerous, skinny little can. Something must be done to correct this problem!!

I think 99% of the negative reviews are because people have unrealistic expectations. No, This isn't going to make your hair look like it did in your 20's. No, this isn't a magic spray that goes on perfectly the first time without a single second of testing or practice. No, this isn't going lasts until you want to wash your hair "next week"! Yes, this is very much like a colored Hair Spray, so a bit of stiffness/crunchyness is expected. And yes, if you rub it, it will be on your fingers. It's not permanent! Lol If you truly worry about how thin (or gone) certain spots of your hair is, you'll take the time to practice. You'll understand that looking great for the day/evening means you'll need to shower before bed so you don't transfer the product onto your bedding (or wear a sleeping cap!). And maybe wrapping a paper towel around the can during prolonged spray isn't such a bad hassle to deal with to keep the sunlight from bouncing off your head! Come on people. You're expecting magic, not a product that covers your scalp. I got it this evening, and immediately ran to the bathroom and sprayed! Okay sure, it dripped a little around the nozzle (not down the whole can) And sure, too close will give you a 'bullseye' effect. And yeah, it can get on your forehead a little, but it took a whole two seconds to wipe away.. but a quick fix, do your makeup last! Don't fall apart and slam the product because it wasn't perfectly perfect right out of the gate. Think of it like makeup for your hair/scalp. When you started wearing all that eye liner, lipstick, eyeshadow and mascara, was your first experience the outcome of a front page super model? Realistically, nope. Same for this. You're never going to have the look and feel of your long lost hair (unless you pay for implants, but that's expensive lol), so shut that idea out before you try any of the hair thickening products, or you'llbe nothing but disappointed. But you can look 15-30 years younger with a little practice, patience and effort. I gave this product 4 stars simply because I ordered the Dark Brown and it has a bit more red tint to it than I think it should. Although it gives a great added pop to my hair, if I want to match, I'd have to do my whole head, and that's a waste lol. So I'll test some other colors and see what I find, but for quick 'on the go' spritz, this color will do.

I initially started using the fibers but it looked terrible and got EVERYWHERE, I did not like them at all and it took 20+ minutes to even the fibers out, this spray can is where its at! Super easy to use, takes minutes or seconds and look natural and great. I started thinning at 22 and its progressively gotten worse, I started using minoxidil and I've noticed a small difference but my hair is still brittle and thin and not very nice unfortunately. I'm 25 now and going to continue using minoxidil for another 2 years to see how it looks long term before taking other measures. This product really, really boosts my confidence and helps me feel good about myself and my hair again. Being almost bald on the crown of my head with a receding hairline so young made me look not how I wanted and I was very unhappy with how I looked and always wore hats, this really does boost my confidence. The product is easy to use, shake well and spray in, I do it in small little sprays not just one long continuous one, and I use a mirror or my phone to look at the back of my head in another mirror. I use a hair dryer to let it dry a little on my head then I use hairspray over this product (use hairdryer again to dry it) and then it seems like that seals it in a little better then not using hairspray but sometimes I don't use hairspray either, just depends. You need to shower before bed otherwise this will get on your pillows and in turn when moving around you'll wake up with black/brown all over your face. It comes off super easily in the washer but I don't want to wash my sheets every single day so shower before bed and you'll be fine. If you rub your head it does come off on the hand but I don't know who rubs their head too often. It washes off hands/clothes very easily as well. One of my showers in my house has a plastic insert and it stained the insert so if you wash it with bleach or scrub it, it will come off but just be aware of that. Overall its a great product, it doesn't last a super long time (maybe a month per can give or take a few weeks) but it works and does what I need it to. I've bought three so far, I use it almost every single day. **Also, if you're styling your hair with this, dry it with a hair dryer first then use a comb/brush afterwards, if you use a brush first without drying it creates brush marks/lines in your hair and defeats the point of using this**

I ordered this because Toppik and XFusion fibers weren't doing the full job for me (I go between brands for the hair fibers sometimes). When I saw this, I thought it'd be better, but it's not really better or worse, it's just different. I tried this on my thinning crown area, but it doesn't cover very well. The reason is because it sprays very hard with a lot of pressure, so it's basically flattening and leaving the "wetness" of the product onto the skin, making your crown shiny brown. Fibers work better on my crown area because they slowly come out and attach to the existing hairs. Then a light hair spray to make them "stick" and my crown is good to go. This product works better closer to my hairline, however, whereas the fibers do not. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because I can hold it farther away from the front, as opposed to the back, but nonetheless I think it still works better than my fibers in that region of thinning hair. The noise of using this product makes it impossible to be discreet. It's also very annoying to listen to. I feel like I'm shaking up an aerosol spray paint can long enough to paint an entire freeway wall. Forget about shaking this thing while you're in the bathroom while your SO is sleeping. They'll be curious as to just why all that noise is coming from you in the bathroom. That's also an issue when traveling, sharing hotel rooms, or staying with family or friends. People will know something's up as you're in the bathroom shaking up the sprayer. You also have to shake it quite a bit, otherwise the color comes out much lighter. I shook it very hard for 30 seconds and it still came out light brown. Reminds me of a shake weight. I guess that's a plus since it's a 2-in-1 product... Anyway, in a perfect world, this product would be silent, not need to be shaken, and spray gently making application easier and seamless. You'll still suffer the curse of never being able to touch your hair without brown color sticking to your hands, or any other surface your hair touches for that matter.

This is by far the best product I’ve ever used to hide my hair loss! I’ve been using another colored spray in fiber product that was pretty good but Toppik brand is superior by far! It seems like there are more fibers in their spray than the other brand. A few tips: Style your hair first, otherwise you’ll be cleaning paint off your styling tools as it will transfer onto them. Section your hair and try to spray towards the base of your hair close to your scalp. This will help you to avoid dulling your hair, which if you’ve been using spray in products then you know that’s an issue. After I apply the product to my hair I let it dry completely then I brush through it. A few last minute touch ups and hair spray and you are done! I wash my hair every other day and the product lasts perfectly! I don’t need to touch up at all. If you are considering trying this out don’t wait!! It’s the best! And it is about $20 less than the other brand you’ll find on Amazon! I am in love with this product!! Great job Toppik!! Thanks for creating the spray in fibers! It’s such a relief to be able to hide my scalp!

So I do not use this as a hair thickener. I inherited thining hair on the top of my head and this works really while to hide that.
