Fantastic Clock, great appearance and perfect for the Ham Shack! Great size and easy to read, It is a step back in time clock of time aboard ship. Do not purchase one purchase two!, one for Ham Shack the other to drive other non 24 clock fans nuts.

Might be a little pricey for what you're getting here—a plastic wall clock—but true “24-hr dial” clocks in larger sizes are getting hard to find. Other than that, this one looks good and keeps accurate time. I prefer this white-on-black design as opposed to the look of most wall clocks. One minor annoyance: the little wheel in the back that you turn to set the time is flush (nearly recessed) with the battery housing, so it's hard to move with a finger; I ended up sticking a tiny screwdriver into one of the holes and twisting it that way.

I love the professional looks of the Trintec clocks. I really like that they have 00 at midnight instead of 24. Maybe they do that in Europe? For U.S. Military and Government, we use 00. Happy to support a business of our Canadian Allies too. I have not had any issues with the clock faces getting scratched, but then mine just hang on the walls, columns, etc. I actually prefer the plastic face: someone dropped one of the clocks and it was fine; I just had to reseat the battery. If the face was glass, it definitely would have broken. For close distance, the smaller clock is OK, but for farther distances, we use the bigger diameter. The customer service at Trintec is excellent as well. I absolutely recommend them and will gladly purchase from them again. I hope this helps if you had any doubts.

My son asked for this clock for his birthday. He likes it a lot. Personally, I couldn't read it to save my life, but he says that it is simple to decipher and more accurate than a standard clock. He did have one complaint about the way the numbers are displayed, but I honestly can't remember the content of his issue. *shrug* Overall, this was an excellent gift for my brainiac son.

After receiving with the second hand detached, I returned it and ordered another. Great clock that is always on Zulu time or Coordinated Universal Time. Great value! I just wish it could be an atomic clock.

The hands are installed so poorly that they rub (at the hub) and cause the clock to stop running. Removing and reinstalling the hands ended up working, but I don't recommend anyone buy this clock.
