I drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla with leather seats. The shape of the seat is such that there is a fixed excessive lumbar support that causes my back to hyperextend. Short drives of less than 15 minutes cause me significant back pain. It was such that I seriously contemplated buying another car or ripping the seats out and replacing them. The Conformax cushion has made that unnecessary. I recently took the cushion on a 1200 mile trip and found that I no longer experience back pain. Hours in the seat with the cushion was more comfortable than 15 minutes without it. The bottom cushion raises the seating position by 1-1.5 inches, thus lowering the position of the fixed lumbar support, while the back cushion softens or reduces the built-in lumbar support. At the same time, the cushion distributes pressure and eliminates pressure points, making long trips comfortable. The cushion does absorb ambient heat, but it feels warm rather than hot. There is adequate ventilation such that it never got sweaty. Pros: Can correct for bad/uncomfortable factory seats. Eliminates pressure points. Cons: Seating position will be raised and you will lose significant headroom (~1-1.5 inches). Make sure you have enough headroom in your car before buying. Expensive (though a lot less than buying a new car!). Update (July 7, 2019): I've had the cushion for 2 years now and continue to use it daily. It has held up incredibly well, still looks new. My father recently sat in my car and liked it so much that he asked me to order one for him too--which I did. Great investment.

I've been trying for nearly a year to find a fix for the incredibly uncomfortable seats in my 2018 Honda Accord. I'm going to mention the car several times in this review, because other "fixes" showed up for me in a Google search, and I hope to help someone else. The 2018 Honda Accord seats are hard. There are a lot of ways to change positions of the seat, but the leather is hard and it hardly has any cushioning. I could barely stand to drive in it. I purchased 4 or 5 other pads and support devices before getting the Cocoon of Comfort. They were ok, but I was still uncomfortable and the pads slipped around. They also looked tacky. I had considered getting my 2018 Honda Accord seats reupholstered to make them softer, but my service guy warned me that another of his clients had done so and it had ruined the seats. I was going to approach my husband about taking a loss on the car and just getting rid of it and getting something else, but decided to try this pad set. This one is more expensive than other pad I tried, but completely worth it. The pads do not slip, and I am finally comfortable driving my 2018 Honda Accord. They don't look tacky. I'm short, so the back pad moves me forward just enough so the seat pan fits me better. I also get a little lift from the seat pad, so see better over the hood. I highly recommend this Cocoon of Comfort to fix the uncomfortable seats in a 2018 Honda Accord (or any other car).

This product is durable, easy to install, and VERY comfortable for long road trips. Even after a 10-hour driving day (with breaks!), I was able to walk without pain after exiting my vehicle. Normally I can't drive more than an hour without exiting my vehicle without a limp from stiff joints. While comfortable, this cushion also is hot to sit on. REALLY hot. I purchased with the more expensive cover, which is supposed to provide better air circulation, but I didn't feel that benefit. On balance, for me, this product is just too uncomfortable temperature-wise to cause me to exclaim "I love it." If you enjoy having your backside sweating constantly, you should buy this cushion. You will not regret the seating comfort it provides, particularly if you spend hours on the road. To me the Conformax is more comfortable overall, but the Clever Yellow wedge doesn't make me sweat.

As a nurse with a bad back, I was disappointed with the comfort of the driver seat of my new Santa Fe. I almost was in a panic because I have spent so much on the car. I tried one other seat cushion and it caused my upper back to ache. I gave this set of seat cushions and knew I found the support and comfort I needed. The set back of the cushions is that the seat cushion does move around and the back cushion does get hot. I actually don’t mind the heat on my back though as it helps comfort my back muscles and herniated disc. You do sit higher up but the Santa Fe has a high head space. I would definitely buy them again.

I'm an UBER driver and ordered these to fix a poor condition driver's seat. First off they are both very heavy, solid and feel well made. The base definitely raises you up so make sure you have plenty of headroom. After using the base and back for a number of hours the base is suited best for hard car seats. My original car seats lack much support and the base actually made them worse. It'll be great for hard seats though. It's big and covers the whole base. The back support however was a revelation. It hugs your back, so that you are cocooned in it. It's sturdy, attachment is great, it will never move when getting in and out. I have spent A LOT of money on lumbar, seat supports and was ready to sell my car, but this product has changed my mind.
