Can you use this to cook over a fire?

I bought 2 of these pans and build a metal, open top, stove box they set in suspended by the lip. I have boiled 300 to 400 gallons of raw maple sap down to about 20 gallons that we further refined in the kitchen. No problem with being exposed to an open flame or boiling while partly empty. I would not expose them to flame without an inch or so of liquid in them. ARV

At the top the inside measurements are 19.5 x 11.5 inches and it is 5.5 inches deep. Near the bottom the inside measurements would be about 0.5 inches less.
