is this curve still made in the USA?

They are made in China. However they are of better quality and better material then the old curve set.

Any good reason why I cannot have a set of Copenhagen ships curves (6) delivered to New Zealand?

Hello At this time we don't offer shipping to New Zealand through Amazon.Thank YouDu-All Drafting & Art Supply
