I received this product recently and have had the chance to try it out around my garden beds, mainly to protect young vegetable plants and a few flowering pots that usually get hit by slugs overnight. The pellets are easy to scatter and the size is quite consistent, which helps with even coverage around plant bases. I applied them in the evening as recommended, especially after watering, and within a couple of days I noticed a clear reduction in slug activity. Leaves that were previously getting chewed up started to stay intact, which is always a good sign that something is working. One thing I particularly like is the ferric phosphate formula. It feels like a more considered option compared to harsher chemicals, especially when using it around edible crops. There is also no obvious mess left behind, no slimy residue or dead pests lying around, which makes the whole process a bit more pleasant. In terms of durability, the pellets seem to hold up reasonably well in damp conditions. We have had a couple of wet days and they did not immediately dissolve, which suggests they can provide ongoing protection without needing constant reapplication. That said, after heavy rain I did feel the need to top up certain areas to maintain coverage. A small downside is that the bright blue colour, while useful for visibility during application, does stand out quite a bit in the garden and can look slightly unnatural, especially in decorative areas. Also, careful placement is needed to avoid overuse, as it is easy to scatter more than necessary. Overall, I’m pleased with it and it has done what I expected.

I bought this as I was having a particularly bad time with snails eating my plants, I’m fine if they nibble when the plants are full size, however, they were eating my pack toys and other crops before they had time to establish themselves. I know it’s very controversial, putting snail or slug killer on crops, however, I felt I really needed to control the snail population in my garden. This worked, the amount of snails we have reduced significantly. The only issue was that I felt the blue pallets did go a little mouldy after they had sat on top of the soil. That wasn’t particularly an issue as I mixed the topsoil which solve the problem as it looked unsightly. I would recommend this product, dispatch quickly by Seller

Bought this during the spring 2024 slug festival, and it saved my garden. Thank goodness the slugs arent so bad this year, but I still use this near tender leaves and it keeps them off immediately

Been using these for decades, Brilliant but far cheaper in B & M this pot was pretty small not the super size I'm used to . Very good product though all round, the only one that works.
