Better than my fiio btr5
Seriously great little device. I would pay 5 bucks more for usb c charging. I should admit that the rubber body did peel off the back and is impossible to put back but it really doesn't negatively affect anything. Awesome 😎👍

Great sound, don't like buttons
The sound with this is great. As for the battery, I haven't timed it, but when the battery gets low, there is no low battery warning, it just says low battery and powers down. As for the buttons, they are just raised rubber on the rubber covering, so they aren't easy to press at times, and if you don't have the button locations memorized, you need to look at the layout, black on black is difficult to see. Connects OK with Blu-tooth, but the range is nowhere near 164 feet outdoors. There is a delay for sound, so it isn't the same as plugging your headphones directly into iPad. Whether that delay is due to older IPad or the device, I don't know.

Cheap junk falling apart
This thing is falling apart. First the clip went pretty quick. Then it came apart. Battery life is short. Junk. Do not buy this! .

Good sound
This Bluetooth receiver sounds great for what it cost, the one thing I did not like was its construction, looked and felt cheap, its all rubber out side.

It works. Simple and functional solution to converting cabled headphones to Bluetooth.
I have a couple of rather expensive corded headphones that I’ve had for many years (Shure and Sennheiser). Over time, I’ve used them less and less given I prefer not to be tethered by a cable to my sound source. The Asseso AP1 allows me to plug my headphone cable into the Bluetooth device and then pair it with my phone or whatever I wish. The sound is excellent. I compared the sound of my Shure headphones connected directly via the cord and via the Bluetooth. I could not discern a difference. Success. Set up and pairing of the Asseso is simple and quick. The volume controls are acceptable, though I can’t use them without looking at them. Hard to use by touch and can’t see in the dark. The material that encases the Asseso is a tactile but reasonably tough rubber. There’s a micro USB charging port with an included cable (the Asseso instructions say something about needing to use their cable, but to me micro USB is generic). Overall this seems to be a compact, nicely built product to address the non-Bluetooth headphone cable problem. The only issue I have, and it is not a surprise, is that my headphone cables are too thick and long to easily wrap around the Asseso AP1… it has plastic flanges to hold a number of wrappings of the cord. Unfortunately they are insufficient to hold longer cords. I ended up coiling my headphone cable up and binding it separately. Overall this is a very simple and functional solution to converting cabled headphones to Bluetooth. It works!

Easy to use, good sound
Over the years I have tried a number of bluetooth earphones, but I always preferred the ear-fit and sound of a good pair of earbuds I have, so I had already given all of those earphones away. Then I saw this and realized that I could use my favorite earbuds over Bluetooth -- great! I had a problem initially -- the volume was much higher in the left earbud than the right -- but simply twisting the jack in the connector raised the volume in the right. The sound is good, and I was able to use them downstairs, perhaps 35 feet away, through a floor and a wall. The controls are responsive. The thin clip is easily fastened to a belt and the whole thing is fairly unobtrusive. Cord management consists of the rubber sides, which extend out past the electronics section to create a space where you can wrap the cord. It works pretty well, although there is one thing I wish they had done differently. The earphone jack goes in perpendicular to the unit; I wish they had made it so that the jack lay parallel to the edge -- the result would have been much tidier. But overall, good sound, and everything works as expected. Here are the earbuds I use, by the way: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JZ6N979
