Performance Tool W80275 10-Piece Metric T-Handle Hex Key Set

I purchased this set to use for the many things in my home, one of them being my 3D printer. There is a good variety of sizes and I really like the T handle to use as it is more ergonomic to use. I don't have this mounted although it is set up to be mounted, but I keep it in the box in a room close to my 3D printer. It is long enough to allow getting into tight places and it is a pleasure to use. The price on this was very competitive as well. I would recommend this product.

so far I'm happy with the tools. Not crazy about the holder. Will probably come up with a block of wood or something else. Pull the tool out of the holder and then when you want to put it back, the first hole is easy to hit, but inserting the tool into the hidden second hole is tough. Fussing with replacing the tool in the holder is time consuming and frustrating for a grumpy old man like me.

These aren't what I would call "fine quality tools" by any stretch, but for an occasional light use set they get the job done. The handles are ok, they just don't exude quality. There are some poorly cleaned up molding seams, and I doubt they would hold up to abuse like trying to apply extra leverage for stuck bolts. Some of the smaller shafts are a little bit bent or warped, but it doesn't really affect their usability. I like that they come with a metal stand, however it's kind of a confused design. It has keyhole slots for hanging, but if you tried to hang it on a wall, the wrenches would be horizontal, and therefore easy to knock out. (first photo) Further, the printing that indicates the size would be facing straight down and impossible to read unless you are on the floor. You could probably make it work, but it just doesn't seem very well thought out. Maybe the idea is to bolt it to a table top? It would have been better if they had made the stand a little wider and put the slots on the side so you could easily bolt it to the wall and still be able to read the sizes while having the wrenches much more secure. What I will probably end up doing is making a spacer block from wood and drill some holes through the metal to mount it. Seems silly when a slightly different design could have made it unnecessary. Overall though, I think they are a good value for the money. I'm going to be using them for light duty applications, so they are good enough for that purpose. Update: Thought I would give an update a year and a half later. As suggested in my original review, I ended up fabricating a way to mount it to the wall. Rather than a wood spacer, I designed and 3D-printed a mount that clips in to the pegboard and uses the existing mounting holes in the wrench stand. Works great, and if I need to relocate it it's easy to move. (see photo) The wrenches themselves are holding up fine. These are probably the most used set I have now mainly because I have them in a convenient location.

I use these for working on my motorcycle. Obviously, you can use them for a lot of other things. They’re a total game changer when it comes to needing this type of tool instead of using the L wrenches, these are way easier.

Great product for assembling items requiring hex type tool (Allen wrench.) This tool provides more flexibility and control than either an Allen wrench in a set or one of the small hex tools that typically come with a product requiring assembly.

Quality is okay-ish. This is definitely not a good quality tool set. The fit are questionable. But at least they works for me for now. And they are cheap. I don't expect them to last long though.

These are surprisingly well made for the price. A good value. No, they aren’t as nice as hex keys costing twice as much, they don’t have soft rubber over molding. But for a hex key set that has handles, these are nice for the price.

Got it so I can adjust Allen sockets on my guitar better than the L shaped one. The grip makes it much easier to hold & control. Love the holder as well. Great for organization.
