This film performs exactly as expected. It helps reduce heat a good amount, but still does let in enough light to prevent the room from feeling too dreary and is easy to see outside during the day. Naturally, some heat still does come in as opposed to using a darker tint, but the difference this tint makes is very good (and kept us sane when our AC went out during the summer!!). The mirror effect is nice and works great. When trying to peek through the window from outside, I would have to nearly press my face against the glass to sort of see in, which would definitely be obvious to anyone on the inside. As is mentioned in the product description, it is near impossible to see outside the window at night. If I ever do have to look outside at night, I need to turn off our interior lights to see out the window. This could perhaps be worked around by having exterior floodlights, but that is just my speculation. It is simple enough to install but, as I am not a professional, it was rather tricky to get most of the bubbles out when installing and I did give up on some of them. If you are concerned with a perfect, non-bubbled tint application, I recommend hiring a professional or someone more experienced to put it on for you.

So far, so good. It's been 3 days and it's still on the door window. It definitely keeps the door window cooler - we have an arched scroll work iron door so was a bit tricky to cut around the arch. I attempted to do this alone but alas I had to ask my husband to assist (which I dread. lol) Between the 2 of us we were able to get it on the window with a bit of struggling. I simply can't imagine one person being able to do this alone. I did watch several different u-tube videos ahead of time so that was a big help. At least I had better insight into the task ahead. If I had more than just the one window to do I would have hired someone to come out and install tint on the window but was hard to justify the cost as we only needed the one door window done. We have sun screens on all of our other windows around the home. I was thinking of taking it down after summer so as to let the warmth in during the winter months but if this holds up I will just keep it on as it does not impair the view as much as I thought it would. Overall, I'm happy with the item.

Not a Vine review. I’m giving this One Way Mirror Window Tint 3 stars. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do regarding heat and privacy—it holds in place well and does a great job of reflecting the sun, which has definitely helped keep the room cooler. However, the clarity is not very good. Looking through the film from the inside feels a bit blurry or distorted, so you lose that crisp view of the outdoors. If you are purely looking for energy efficiency and privacy, it works, but if you value being able to see clearly out of your windows, this might not be the best option. It’s a functional budget fix for a hot room, but the trade-off in visibility is definitely noticeable.

Easy to Use, and really knocks out the heat! We live in Florida and the heat coming through an all glass door can be stifling! We put the window film on the entire glass portion and instantly the temperature in the room dropped drastically. Looks awesome too. The heat at the glass was negligible! This is the second home we have owned that we use this window tint for. My hubby likes it because it goes on easy and beautifully, no bubbles, or wrinkles at all. It is quick application, and really does a superb job.

Not great! Instructions say to leave overlap but that doesn't work because then it doesn't stick to the window. If it is not 100% cut to fit window it will not seal. The inside has a million scratches where you are squeegee-ing the water so it looks like total crap on the inside. It is hazy not clear like the advertisement photos. There isn't any value for price paid. You should consider hiring a professional to do it. Not great at all for ease of use especially because it was rolled and curls at every opportunity. Coverage was short because of the sizing. Plan on making mistakes. Seller should come up with a way to make grid lines in the peel away portion for straighter lines. Yes seller can thank me for that genius idea! Would prefer full refund but cannot get one because you have to try the product before you can tell if it will work or not! Disappointed. FYI-it does not reduce heat coming into windows as claimed.' Last photo shows less than 12 hours and they window coverings were down.

We received the tint in a well packaged box. The tint itself was good quality and thickness. I applied to my 14 garage windows which face West. We got this to try and reduce the heat build up in our garage. It installed easily and I especially was very focused on removing all air bubbles. It’s been 5 days since the install and the tint is holding up tremendously well. The garage heat issue has been reduced by 60% easily if not more. The mirrored tint was the right selection! Very pleased so far and expecting it to remain that way. I will do an update in the future. UPDATE July 30, 2025: Tint is working well and could not be happier. Great product!

This tint works really well, it’s been over four years and there is no discoloration anywhere. The tint will give a mirror effect (providing that it is not dark outside) if it is dark outside and you turn on a light inside the tint is negated.

Prep your windows properly and this stuff goes on easy peasy, the tiny water bubbles that don’t get squeegeed out right away do go away, it provides excellent privacy during the day, none at night obviously you would have to be pretty stupid to think that it would. I would purchase this stuff again absolutely.

I disliked that you can see through the tint in daylight and it is clear in night time like there is no tint on it. Was easy to adhere. Would be good for keeping the hot sunlight out.

Does the job nicely.

This film has tiny-tiny waves, that does not make a clear view through the installed film.
