A treasure for every judoka!, a must have!

As a refresher.

When I bought this book on Amazon there was only a front cover photo, so I hesitated a bit because it was hard to judge the content. After reading it, I am genuinely very satisfied. It is a really interesting book for judo fans, with a good balance between grappling and throwing. What makes it stand out is the extra explanation of the “why” behind techniques, it goes into the physics and dynamics behind movement, balance, force, timing, and what actually makes a throw work. That makes it feel more insightful than a standard technique catalogue. It also includes many helpful illustrations and diagrams that support the explanations and make it easier to follow. Overall, a great addition to a judo library, useful to read casually, but also valuable to revisit when thinking about technique and details.

Ottimo libro, che illustra in maniera approfondita i principi dinamici delle tecniche di Judo, sia in generale, che specificamente di molte tecniche di lancio e di lotta a terra, con descrizioni molto dettagliate. Ottima l'impaginazione grafica, le foto a colori e la qualità della carta. Consigliato, a tutti coloro che vogliono conoscere il Judo in modo più approfondito e migliorare la loro pratica.
