LED Recessed Downlight, fit Most 5-6" Housing Cans, Baffle Trim, Dimmable, 75W Equivalent 10.2W, 925 LM Retrofit kit, 75 Watt, 2700K Soft White, 6-Pack LEDR56B/927CA/MP/6

My intention was to replace 12 incandescent can lights in my kitchen ceiling . Before placing the order, I verified that my existing cans had the dual hook points for receiving the mounting spring wires that can be seen in the product photo. This is critical if the replacement lights are to mount correctly and stay in place. I bought two 6-packs of these Feit lamps to replace the old BR30 bulbs. The procedure was easy: 1. Unscrew the old bulb 2. Take out the metal baffle (or "skirt") that was held in place by two springs 3. Used needle-nose pliers to removed the two springs. 4. Screw in the replacement unit's power adapter to the E-26 base which held the old bulb in it. 5. Plug the new Feit into the connector on the power adapter. 6. Pinch the spring wire mounts on the Feit together, and put the unit up against the old can, making sure the spring wires go into the dual hook points in the can. Up on the stepladder, I handed down the old bulb, shroud and springs to my lovely wife, and she handed the replacement Feit unit up to me for installation. Did this 12 times in under 20 minutes. All units worked out of the box, no DOAs, and they all dim consistently and uniformly using a Lutron MACL 153 dimmer. A Diva would work just as well. Far brighter than the old Halogen BR30s. For me, the dimmer is necessary. Totally satisfied. Worked out to about $8 per light and I anticipate never having to climb up and deal with them again.

It was challenging to find a replacement for my outdoor porch lights, but this Feit Electric LED recessed downlight was very close to the original and matched seamlessly. The soft white light gives a welcoming glow, and the installation was straightforward. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to update their porch lighting with a close match to existing fixtures.

Preferred the trim from the previous generation. Not as happy with how this one looks (raised instead of flush, and not quite as wide). Light color is nice, they're bright, and I have yet to see one of these or the previous generation fail.

So far, so good! Purchased to replace a failed fixture of the same model. Easy to install. Brightness was slightly different than the older ones (that had not failed yet) but I don't see how that could be practically avoided. To be fair, the difference is not noticeable if you are not looking for it. If you have many of these and can afford it, it might make sense to replace more than one in a single room at once for consistency and then keep the old ones as backups.

I trust FEIT. I've never heard of many of the competing brands, and their reliability sounds terrible. First, I ordered a 6-pack. Then I liked them so much, I ordered another 6-pack and some C-clips I installed for 10 lights, saving 2 as spares . All 12 of the lights worked. C-Clips are not included. Only downside, I wish FEIT had included a foam ring to seal between the ceiling and the fixture. I retrofitted my old incandescent cans with these fixtures. They look nice and do a good job stopping the cold air that leaked - make that blew - around the cans. Light is bright, good color rendition. Springs are used to hold the fixture in place. C-clips are not required, but make the fixtures fit much tighter. My 5-star rating for longevity is more of a wish than actual experience. Some reviews for other LED fixtures report a high failure rate on arrival or within the first 2 years. Hopefully, the FEIT will do better. But over the long run (10-20 years) I anticipate some will fail. In the future, exact replacements may not be available, or will be pricy buying one at a time. I already have 2 spares (installed 10 of 12 I purchased) and will buy another 6 pack giving me 8 spares. I'll update this review in 20 years to let you know how many I used!

Installed quickly and trouble free. Good brightness and color -- true to description.

Bought this on a whim. I had converted every light socket in my house to LED. Well almost, except for a recessed light inside of the front door. It took me two years to figure out the massive draft of cold air that was coming in was through that decorative face of this light so I had used saran wrap to mostly seal it, which actually worked for 7 years ( and the light never died either...hmmm) So thinking this fixture would completely cover the opening and provide an LED upgrade! It did and was so easy to replace the decorative facing with this "retrofit." And no more air draft!!! Bye, bye saran wrap. Oh, it looks like I can modify this fixture with two screw holes to attach the decorative outer rim so my light fixtures will match again. Instructions were spot on. Everything it mentioned was just like it said. Only complaint I have is my fault, never checked what the brightness of this fixture was, so I went from 40W bulb to this 75W LED...thinking once I attach the decorative face it will tone it down some.

Very good retrofit light fixture. Easy to install and they work and look very nice. They dim just as described and a great price.

Installed in 5 minutes per light One light had a damage trim and was replaced within 2 weeks. Only drawback for me is that they flicker on low dimmer setting. I may need to replace my dimmer switch

Def won't fit a 5" hole - Mine was 5 1/3" - And it's still a bit too big to jam in there... Tho from underneath you really can't tell.

These are great for Reno's. Very cost effective which keeps the customer happy and you can place them virtually anywhere you want even if theres framing in the way. I've never had one fail. I've installed well over 100 of these

When we started renovating the kitchen we took out all of the trim on the 9, 6" pot lights, and after 11 years did no relish the idea of cleaning or find replacement items so when I saw these guys in a Reno video I ordered 2 boxes. Once you figure out how to clip the spring into the fixture these are a 30 second install, provide lots of warm light and consume almost no power. One of the Twelve I ordered was doa but Amazon had it replaced the next day.
