Omega Shave Shaving Cream Soap Travel Size Tube

I use this shave soap with my Merkur 1904 classic double edge razor. It provides an amazingly close, comfortable shave, even with generic drugstore double edge blades. I absolutely love this shaving soap, and like the fact that you don't have to use with a shaving brush for fantastic results.

Love this brand, but they really changed the formula lately. It used to be MUCH thicker, almost like a paste. Now it is a "slurry". Still good, but miss the old formula.

Be advised that this is not the older thick soap product, in a metal tube, that lasts forever. I don't know that if that product is still available, but when I could no longer buy any Omega products locally I selected this on Amazon, thinking it was the same shaving soap, but it is not. This version of Omega shaving cream is a very creamy liquid soap in a soft plastic tube. It still smells very strongly of eucalyptus and makes for a good shave. However, each tube will last for considerably fewer shaves because the product has switched from a thick but soft soap to a cream. For me it's just not the same shaving experience. I have a feeling the older product is no longer made now that this shaving cream is manufactured by Proraso for Omega as stated in the description. Because I can no longer get the soft shaving soap to which I was accustomed, I'm feeling considerably less loyal to Omega and am widening my search for a replacement.

This is a very good product and I would buy it if I couldn't get Proraso or C.O. Bigelow

My husband loved this product. But the formula has changed and the consistency is thinner and not as nice to shave with. It use to be a really great product.
