Pri Gardens Upside Down Tomato Planter, 2- Pack(Requires Plants,Soil and Fertilizer, not Included)

These have our tomato plants growing amazingly! Water them in the evening every day or every other day and they do great! If you fill them appropriately with soil they don’t cave in like people complain about. Also just use a friend to help put the plants in and there is no issue at all! These are great!

This makes growing tomatoes easy and convenient. The planter is very strong and durable. The bag is easy to fill with soil and tomato starts. The tomatoes hang down from the bottom and I planted basil to grow out of the top since they grow well together. The planter would probably be great for small areas, if you don’t have a lot of gardening space.

Lightweight but appears quite sturdy. No assembly required depending where you are going to hang it. From a wood object, then i screws need holes drilled. Very very heavy with soil and watered! I carefully placed a tomato plant and eased soil around the stem. Problem:This might be a big problem. Water will come out the bottom of the bag and trail down the tomato plant to drip out. Sounds OK but today the plant looks a little rough with dirt remaining on leaves. Will see if it survives. Tomato plants are should be elevated above the dirt to avoid diseases.

The zipper made it easier to get plants in place top should be larger would be easier to fill with soil.all in all worked well

This is made from good quality material. There is one design drawback. Once filled with plant and soil the top will narrow when this is hung from a hook. That makes adding soil or watering needlessly difficult. A quick way to rectify this is to include a round stiff wire that fits into the top, thus giving a round opening at the top. I manufactured one for my planter from a wire coat hanger, but it still needs some work. I might come back with a few images later. I do like the zippered opening across the bottom, very handy to install plants.

We grew tomatoes upside down a few years ago and were quite pleased with the results. Good sized tomatoes and it was not only easy to grow them, it was a bit of fun as well. It does get quite heavy when full of soil and water so make sure you have a good secure method of hanging them.

I do not recommend this product. I put it to the test alongside another pot, and the result was very different—the same type of tomatoes, the same planting method, but a different pot—and, honestly, it didn't yield good results.

They have actually worked so well ‘ I filled the things 3/4 way full when i started the plant ! These require extra water I feel like we put about 1/2 to 1 gallon water + in each one a day especially when it’s hot. Over all there doing well we have our first tomatoe growing on one ! Make sure to hang to get at least 6 hours or more direct sunlight a day. We also use a bug net on ours you don’t have to personal choice for us. Over all these are good for people who don’t have a good garden spot but want fresh veggies. Sometimes we add about cup a miracle grow along in ours ! We started our plant. Then filled the bag. Leaned it to the side an my husband held the top shut. I unzipped the bottom i backed my plant up in it. A scooped a lil dirt around it. Zipped up a watered and waited. It is hard for one person to do this as it can be heavy for some people to lift to hang up on a porch deck etc.

Having souch fun grin g my tomatos I know sounds stupid but I noticed today I have one small beef steak tomato growing so easy to water...I will growing veges for years to come.
