What an experience Wow! Great product

Great stone for cooking meats. We experienced these at a Resturaunt in Germany and loved it. Came home and found this one on amazon. The only down side is my home oven doesn’t get as hot as a commercial oven does so cooking was slower. I would get the bigger one for more surface heat but this one works well.

My husband is an amazing cook and super picky! I bought him one of these for Father's Day, he loved it and cooked an amazing steak! Just bought him a second he loved it so much! Like some of the other comments- heated pretty quickly on stovetop with foil tented over top👍

The Black Rock steak rocks are expensive, but IMO, they are awesome. Highly Recommended (don't buy the cheaper rocks).

Purchased and tried it (oven) out as instructed. Heat only lasted 20 mins. Steaks were cut as well. Very disappointing. Will be returning. Wasn't able to cook two strips of steak

This product is great, want another one and will probably order it!! Awesome for entertaining and appetizers!

Excellent product

We had a meal with cooking stones in Spain. It was outstanding. I bought 2 cooking stone kits (4 stones total), and they worked good, but the stones were NOT lava and did not retain the heat as I would have expected. I then bought the 2 of Black Rock Grill Hot Stone Cooking Lava Stone which I am reviewing here. The stones look great! The metal tray fits the stones perfectly, however, the wooden tray is cut an 1/8th of an inch too small to hold the metal tray correctly on both sets. I was very excited about the new lava stones. Unfortunately, they did not retain the heat any better than the ones I originally purchased. As I mentioned, the first kit I bought had 2 stones in it for $65. The Black Rock Grill Hot Stone Cooking Lava Stone kit came with 1 stone for $75.95. I was really hoping they would retain the heat better than the other stones I bought. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I probably would not buy this brand again.

These do take a bit of preparation and it does take a long time to get up to temperature, but follow the instructions and you will enjoy the tastiest steaks cooked how you like it. A definite hit with all our family!
