Great porch light with motion detection.
This motion detecting porch light works amazing. We bought this to replace an old outdated flood light setup on the front porch. We also wanted something that would turn on automatically when someone approaches the front yard. This is definatly it. I would say that it picks up movement about 25yds away. This light has several settings that you can use to adjust stay on time and detection levels and so on. I was a little afraid that the paint would fade or rust, but so far it has been through high summer heat, spring rains, and snow and ice. The paint still appears new and shows no sign of fading. Installation was a breeze. just make sure to have the breaker turned off before you start and im sure anyone can install one of these. Instead of using a normal fluorescent bulb I upgraded to a LED type bulb and I must say it works perfect. The frost type glass helps spread the light and give even glow around the yard without any hard line shadows. My wife and I are planning to order a couple more of these fixtures for the other porches around the house. We really couldn't be happier. If anything changes I will update my review.

We love these lights!
These lights are great! If you are looking fro a medium size light for a porch or entry way, you can't go wrong with these. We bought them to go on our garage and on our front porch. (5 total) The price is great especially for what you get, Light sensor and a motion sensor, plus you can put them on Manual mode and just turn them on and off. The seeded glass is good quality and they look a lot more high end then what you are going to pay for them. I would recommend.

Nice security light for your house
I got this light from Amazon to improve the lighting in the front of my house for security at night. After unwrap the package, I was shocked to see the light already collapsed in parts, maybe during transit or packed like this. That's why I give it 4 stars. On close look, it might be ok to put them together, so I check all the parts and put the frame back on by the hand-tightened screw, and slide the glass and decorative metal frame into the groove. Then everything is all right, not too difficult. I guess this might be an exception and might not happen to other customers. Installation is easy by following the clear instruction. Since the screws and fastener are standard size, it should be almost all unless your fixture is very unusual. The sensor can be adjusted in angel by turning it a little. I tested it at night, it work perfectly and looks very nice. I'm happy about it. You may set 1, 5 or 10min. I'll recommend this product in terms of cost and style.

Great Product and Amazing Customer Service
Was looking to replace the 2 front lights on my TH but I wanted some with motion sensors, but I also wanted to be able to force the light on in case I had friends/family coming over late at night. This was one of the few brands that had a feature to do this I found. The Oil-Rubbed Bronze looks great with the seeded glass. Also the motion sensor is very powerful, I had to turn it on low sensitivity because every time a car drove by at night (even on medium) the lights would go on. Where I would like to give Heath/Zenith a extra star is their customer service. One of the lights I received had a small hairline crack in the glass. It wasn't really noticeable if unless you got close up to see, but I was concerned if this would cause issues in the future. I sent them a photo of the crack and they sent me a brand new replacement and told me to keep the one with the crack just in case. That in my opinion is great customer service. My only complaint is they don't recommend Florescent bulbs or LED's so I'm stuck using halogen bulbs, while better then incandescent bulbs, they are still not comparable (energy efficient wise to an LED).

This one works!
After buying several light sensitive switches for my door light to save money (neither worked well only turning the lamp off in the brightest sunshine) I came across some reviews of the Heath Zenith motion sensing light and, finding it very reasonably priced, I immediately ordered one from Amazon. It was tricky installing it mainly because of the junction box which did not have a lot of room in which to store the wires (the old lamp was larger so the wires went in its base instead of the junction box). I solved that by cutting the lamp wires shorter. It took perhaps an hour for me to put it up but it was worth the effort. It works great. My light turns on as soon as I walk up the path. The light sensor also works well so it never turns on in the day time or even in twilight! I highly recommend these products to people who, like me, always forget to leave a light on. Update 1/21/2016... Well it worked well for four years but it finally succumbed to the very hot and humid So Florida climate. I bought another one because I liked the 1st one so much. I noted the instructions now say it is resistant to humidity. I don't recall that being stated on the original. I'm hoping that it will last longer now. Because it was my 2nd installation putting the new one up was trivial for me.

Oh, oh...two strikes against...
.I installed another one months ago and it's worked well, so went with the same unit for the garage lite that failed.Although a nice looking fixture, seemingly well built, the electronics in this thing suck! As many other reviews of this (and other similar) product have experienced, either the dang thing won't turn on, or won't turn off if by some miracle it does go on, or won't sense light or movement....the list goes on. In my case, the lamp will only honor the "one-minute" setting; the others will trigger once and remain ON the rest of the night. Insomuch as the unit at least works partially, I won't bother to take it down for a return, but if it fails within the return period, back it goes. And if it does, I'll keep reordering and returning faulty units 'till I get one that works, or until the Heath company responds to the negative customer feedback and improves the quality of the five-and-dime electronic modules in their fixtures. EDIT...11/29...Well, the replacement unit failed to go off even at the 1 min. setting after a couple of days, so it;s back to Amazon for this one too! I did take the time to wire this light to a plug-in pig tail and bench-test it, to eliminate possible wiring problems on the outside wall mount. Fails the same on the bench...just REFUSES to go OFF. Now, I know that the Heath folks can make one that works (check the reviews...over half of the buyers think their light is the cats meow.) Sadly, the last two that I have purchased have degraded to one star. Kudos to Amazon for making the return-exchange process so effortless, but how many of these failures must I go through before the Heath Co. steps up to the plate and puts out a reliable product ? Come on, people, I know you can do it . I already have one other unit that works perfectly. OH, BTW...in the past week, those who know have RAISED THE PRICE of this fixture by A THIRD ! So presently its a 41 dollar "order-and-hope" product. So, I await with baited breath for the UPS truck to show up with attempt number three.

Might work better in a sheltered area
I purchased this light on March 2, 2011 and installed it within a week. There are some pros and cons with this light. Pros The dusk to dawn feature works perfectly The motion detector works well and is sensitive enough to pick up a cat walking through my patio. The motion detector has a 150 radius. This is both a pro and a con depending on the situation. For me it is a plus. Others might need a broader detection range. The light has worked with every type of bulb I have tried. Some LEDs and compact fluorescent bulbs work fine. Cons The color is black. I ordered oil rubbed bronze and it said it was that color, but really the color is black. Because the bulb turns on and off multiple times through the night, it seems to consume bulbs. I have gone through 3 light bulbs with this unit and am working on bulb 4. Compact fluorescent bulbs don't seem to last any longer than incandescent bulbs. The paint does not last and is quickly lost. I live in a very sun intense area with very little rain and no snow. The paint on this fixture lasted about 2 and a half years. I am now replacing the fixture because the paint is long gone and the fixture is heavily rusted. There is not a single millimeter of the fixture that is not covered with a heavy layer of rust. The fixture continues to work well, it is just rusted out. I have included a photo of the fixture as it is in 12/2015. The light brown color is a heavy layer of oxidation and rust. The rust can come off, but the metal is degrading underneath. There is not enough metal left on the light to refinish the light at this point.

Great fixture, features, and price.
I received my light today, sooner than expected. It’s exactly as I expected. For $42.00, it’s a bargain. I’ve paid more, and got much less that’s for certain. It was packaged nicely, and pretty much flawless, (no obvious defects.). I have to mention though, that you should check the decorative round knobs on the bottom four corners. I didn’t notice that mine were, and one fell off during insulation. 🤦🏼♂️ Fortunately, I was able to find it and it easily screwed back on. * That’s when I noticed that two of the others were also bit loose. No big deal, but if you don’t want to lose one, be sure to check them. It was simple to install, just like any small outside light fixture, and I was very impressed by it’s motion detection range. It’s replacing a fixture with similar features, (that I paid TWICE as much for I might add), that didn’t have nearly the same motion range. Of course it’s too soon to tell how durable it will be, but for this price, I’d be thrilled if it lasted 4-5 years. I’m very happy with my purchase land I think you’ll be too.

Love it
Great motion light HZ4133 model. Elegant, easy to install, easy to operate, and works like its supposed to. Have had 2 at entrance doors for a few years, and just got another for garage.

Lights Don't Work At All
I ordered two of these and neither of them worked. My electrician has double checked the electrical and even installed other fixtures to confirm that it was a defect with this product. Unfortunately, I order them a while back and they were only installed recently as our renovation finished up so this is $100 down the toilet.

good product, poor instructions
product is good, instructions not so good. There is no explanation on how to turn the light on and keep it on. Minor problem but annoying

Very sensitive
Replaced a similar light that was working well but corroded in the elements at our front door. This light looks ok, but it’s really sensitive. Our last light would detect people coming up our walk from 4-5 metres away from the door when put on “low sensitivity”. On “low sensitivity “, this light picks up people walking on the city side walk and even picks up some cars and trucks on the street. The city sidewalk is 25 meters from the door. This might work well for a country house, but in the city, the light is coming on too often.
