Broan-NuTone 413023 Ductless Range Hood Insert with Light, Exhaust Fan for Under Cabinet, 30-Inch, Black

We replaced the stove fan we had. It was old and I had recently ruined the filter with a pan fire. This fit perfectly, looks nice and clean. Light and fan work perfectly. I didn’t hear much cussing while my husband put it up so it must be easy to put up because he is not a handyman. I am very pleased. I thought it was priced fair. Arrived on time. I would recommend.

It looks so good and is not thick and bulky looking. The light is bright enough to light my whole kitchen the fan is not loud and dose the job getting the airflow going. It was super easy to put in 10/10 would buy again!

Bought this for a cheap stainless steel hood. Old one finally died, and I didn't want anything expensive because we will be putting in an over the range microwave soon, but until then we needed an exhaust fan. Install was super easy. It took me less than 10 mins and probably 2 of those minutes were just me walking up and down stairs to turn off and on the power to the kitchen. The box came left at my door wide open!!! Never had this issue with amazon before. I was initially worried, but on close inspection all was good. Only thing in the box was the Hood, which even though box was opened and damaged, was in perfect condition, and an instruction book, which I never even opened. The mounting screws were in a plastic bag under the wiring cover that you have to remove during install. At first I thought the screws were gone, but that was not the case. They were there. Look under your cover ! My cabinets have a frame ledge that comes down 1/2" below the bottom of the cabinet on the front and back. So, I either had to use a 1/2" spacer board in-between the hood and the cabinet or drill some new holes in the hood right on the front and back edge so I could screw into the ledges to mount the hood. I choose to drill in the new hood. I used a 3/16 drill bit and it worked perfect for the included screws. Next, I just punched out the back wire tab on the hood with a flat head screw driver, turned off the power to the kitchen, then held the hood up to the wall and pushed the power wires from the wall through the tab hole. After that I had my wife hold the very light hood up to the cabinet, made sure that we liked the placement of the hood and I screwed in the 4 included screws through the hood and into the cabinet. This whole step took less than 2 minutes. Next, all you have to do is wire nut the white wires from the hood to the white wire from the wall, Blacks to the Black and then attach your ground wire from the wall to the greenish/blue looking screw on the hood. After that, flip your power back on and test it. In my case all was good. And Finally run to the store and buy an appliance bulb because one is not included with this order. Enjoy.

Bought hood to replace microwave, easy to install and looks good we like it better than microwave being there more room and easier to clean bottom. Recommend to all wanting to be rid of microwave

Nice basic replacement for the broken range hood that came with our house. The old NuTone was completely dead, so, we purchased this as a replacement. The product came packaged relatively okay. There was a small dent in the upper fold on the back of the unit, but since it would be barely noticeable, we didn't bother replacing it. The NuTone I took out was recessed in the top, and the electrical supply from the wall was near the top of the unit about 3 inches over from the corner. This unit is completely flush topped and has two knockouts, one on the top, and one in the rear about 7 inches in from the corner. I had to cut a swath of the drywall behind the hood to get the power supply to line with the knockout. Not a huge issue, but slightly annoying. There are instructions for a recessed cabinet install as well. The unit out of the box is fine for a flush bottom cabinet. Figures I have recessed bottoms. Instead of installing filler wood to make flush for the mounting holes, I opted to use longer wood screws with washers and tie right into the bottom shelf in the rear, and use smaller holes on the front lip of the range hood to bite into the front fascia of the cabinet. Make sure you drill pilots for the screws. 1/8" drill bit works beautifully. Once hung, make your electrical connections. There are no wire nuts supplied, so, make sure you have some handy. Everything else went beautifully, the unit is solidly in place, and everything works perfectly. Switches are substantial and we put a 75 watt equivalent LED bulb in there, so we can actually see what we are cooking now! I would have rated 4.5 due to the dent in the unit. The box was not damaged, so, it came from the factory with that issue. Since unit works as desired and it wasn't a huge problem with the dent, it retained a 5 star review.

Easy to install

Great range hood that suits the requirements of our kitchen. Looks great and works great as we've already installed it. Light is a bit dim, but overall we're happy with this purchase. Shipping was a bit of a nightmare. This package kept being held by Putolator for reasons that were never explained, however, we kept receiving emails indicating that our action was required to get this package back on track!?!?!? ! It did arrive on the latest possible date specified by Purolator. Product itself, is a very nice upgrade for our kitchen and looks great with our flat black cabinet hardware and accents. Price is great!

Does exactly what its supposed to. For my small condo the suction is good enough, and it's not too loud. I did buy a kit to turn it into a plug-in because it is a hard wired unit, but that was really easy to do and it probably took me 30 minutes total to convert and hang by myself.
