NetumScan Wireless CCD Barcode Scanner USB Automatic Bar Code Reader Compatible for PC Computer MAC Windows laptops NSL6

I have an old machine that due to software that I need to run on it, has to be XP It can't run in any sort of compatibility mode, it has to be XP. Some of the data input is done using a hand scanner, but I've only ever been able to use wired ones, as wireless never seem to work, so this one was bought because it said it worked on XP, but I wasn't expecting much. Connected as soon as I plugged the dongle in, and worked fine, even at 5-6 metres away (I'm never going to need it further than that, so might be more). Extremely pleased, does exactly what I need it to do and does it well, far better than devices two or three times the cost. Simple USB to charge it, can still be used whilst charging, and has lights to let you know when fully charged.

I bought this with high hopes it would help me get my stocktake done quicker. Unfortunately, it didn't. I liaised with customer service and they were great, as was my Library software supplier. However, I couldn't fix the fault and ended up sending it back. It was cool though and may work elsewhere with no issues.

Good but expensive

I was so relieved that this worked first time I could've cried! Try to set up the software and reporting sheets for covid testing in school has been awful, every step has glitches, so I wasn't holding out much hope for this to work with the crappy system but it did! First time! Every time! I need to find more reasons to bar code stuff at school just because it is so easy and wonderful to use!

Fantastic used at work for covid recording

I unpacked it , slipped usb receiver into max book and it scanned straight away to software. Great thing.

Initially positive - cheap and good functionality - lack of documentation was overcome with quick support responses but ultimately the unit stopped working after a few weeks failing to charge and was returned for a refund

Really easy to use. Scans well.
