Just perfect
Absolutely brilliant product used as a top coat for both my clay and plaster of paris pieces. Goes on very smoothly, I decanted a small amount and used a sponge brush however a normal brush can be used as I tried this also and worked perfectly well. Dries to a smooth finish Highly recommend

Good heat resistant finish.
Used on a stone slab under a very hot wood stove to help with the daily cleaning. Works a treat after 3 or 4 coats it has lasted 12 months and looks just as good. No sign of the heat upsetting the finish, and it has survived to almost daily cleaning of the hearth.

Good on wood
This is brilliant on wood and really brings out the lustre and beauty of the piece, taking 3-5 coats to really look and feel done. A gentle flame for a second and it's back to a liquid however, and it's not great on metal. It goes on okay and looks great, but a gentle scuff or knock and it peels off like PVA from a kids hands in school.

Smooth and easy to apply
Lovely, thick lacquer which is easy to apply giving a smooth satin finish.

Sticky finish
After 3 coats this lacquer stopped drying completely and left a slight stickiness - as many of the Polyvine varnishes do. I was hoping a lacquer would be better.

Lovely satin glow
I removed the laminate from my dressing table, cleaned it up with sugar soap, sanded it and painted it with paint colour match from B & Q then finished it with this satin finish varnish. It made the job perfect. I was a little concerned it had a white bloom when I put the first coat on but it dried in a really nice satin finish. You have to dilute the first coat with 10 per cent water and it's a very small pot but it had hood coverage and I'm pleased with the result.

I bought this product because it claimed to have a "wax-like feel" which is something my clients want, but with the durability of polyurethane. It doesn't seem all that different from standard water based poly and it quickly gums up in the bottle so before I have a chance to use it it's no longer usable and it's more expensive that standard water based sealers.

This is a fabulous product, but did not quite stand up to the strains we put on it. It was recommended as a sealant for gold leafing on shoes. However, the flexion points on boots proved more intense than the pumps the original artist used, and this was not strong enough.

Very disappointed and I would advise everybody not to buy during the winter months. I absolutely love polyvine products, but they are totally useless when they arrive in a solid mass and a total waste of money. Maybe the seller should provide heat packs or a way of keeping t the product from turning into a solid mass that is totally unusable after all it is quite a bit of money
