I have been thoroughly impressed with this chair and the way it's able to relieve pressure on the spine, when compared to a traditional chair. I was already using a $250 "Ergonomical" chair, with lumbar and neck/head support, but I kept finding myself aching from pain after about 3-4 hours of use. I began to look around for alternative types of chairs, hoping to improve my chronic pain. I am a Senior in computer engineering, so naturally, I spend a lot of time in front of computers. This makes my choice of chairs extremely important, especially when considering my spine issues. I was extremely happy with my purchase, especially once I had a few weeks of use. If you have any spinal issues or have problems with posture, you can not beat this chair for the price! There are others on Amazon for less money, but not nearly as nice. This chair is great at promoting posture, since it's not physically possible to sit in the chair, without holding correct posture. That is, unless you only put one knee on the pad and you lean. I will occasionally do this myself, but only for a few seconds, when grabbing something real quick. Other than that, you can not be in the chair, without having correct posture. This is exactly what I needed and dare I say, this has changed my life, to some extent!? My only complaint about the chair, it should have an option for adjustable arm rests, instead of putting two handles on each side of the seat (which are also useful). I do realize that adding these would remove some of the postures promoting features of the chair. I just think they should sell this as an option, for $10-$20. To those complaining about knee/shin pain, adjust the height and/or stand-up every once in a while. It's only natural that your knees/shins will start to ache, after leaning part of your weight on them, for hours. You can't expect this company to get around the laws of physics! The only other thing worth mentioning is, I would not give this to an elderly person, or someone with bad balance. This is due to the fact the chair can be a little "slippery" when hopping into the seat. This is especially true if you use a desk-mat under your chair. Normally you'd sit back into a chair, it slides, but you're firmly seated with your back against the seat. In this chair, if you attempt to do that and you miss the mark, you are going to go flying across the room! So please be careful and do not think it's appropriate for your 70 year old parents (although it is still possible for them to use it, just need instruction). Overall, I highly recommend this product.

If you have been looking for a great chair for your lower back and shoulders, you know the struggle is absolutely real. And being short (5'2") doesn't help either! I tried this chair out hoping it'll help with that. Let me first say that yes, the style of seating is indeed wonderful and does help eliminate the aches you would get from a regular computer/task chair that you found that suits your needs. HOWEVER - if you are short, you will find a hard time having your knees completely reach the bottom resting stool. You want your tush completely taking up the main seat, but mine doesn't because I have to support my knees. So I'm kinda left awkwardly sitting with the flimsy back support too. It's loose and doesn't tighten well. It's been about a month since I've purchased this and I can say my traditional aches don't happen anymore, but now my feet and knees get sore because there is no resting place for the feet besides the metal and screws constantly hitting them when you try to find a spot to rest. Also don't sit for long hours on this, your tush will ache.

I'll start this off with saying I did a lot of research on a chair before buying this one. I gave it a solid month or two to get used to it as instructed by other reviewers. It has continued to be very uncomfortable past 20 minutes of use. The thick foam pad quickly compresses and looses all comfort. The foam pad for your knees is awkwardly narrow as well. The backrest IS COMPLETELY USELESS.100% USELESS. It wouldn't tighten in any way to actually provide support. The backrest literally flops around in the bracket it's attached to. In no way does it stay in place. It just flops downward and tilts side to side no matter how many times I re-install it. I'm now outside of my return window for this chair after giving it a fair chance and I'm struggling to justify not throwing it out. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend finding another chair or entertaining the thought of buying a wooden rocking style kneeling chair since I'm currently using the one from my grandma's house that she bought in the 80's. It has almost no padding on it and it's seriously more comfortable than this new chair.

I've had no clue what to look for in the kneeling chair at the time of my purchase. So in this review, I'll try to help solve this issue for people who find themselves in a similar situation. I know that some of you are impatient and are looking for a quick answer to a simple question: "To buy or not to buy?" My answer to this question is: "Do NOT buy if this is your first kneeling chair. Instead, look for a chair with the seat positioned at the less steep of an angle. You can find some less than half the price of this one. Or go for a rocking kneeling chair, which is a bit more expensive." After my first few days in this chair, I found it not as comfortable as I'd hoped it would be. My initial thought was that I was doing something wrong. So I did some research online and then tried different kneeling chairs in my local Staples and furniture stores. I don't want to go into the pros and cons of all kneeling chairs in this review. But you need to know what to expect in general. So here is an excerpt from Wikipedia: "A proper kneeling chair creates the open body angle by lowering the angle of the lower body, keeping the spine in alignment, and the sitter properly positioned to task. The benefit of this position is that if one leans inward, the body angle remains 90° or wider. It is a type of chair for sitting in a position with the thighs dropped to an angle of about 60° to 70° from vertical (as opposed to 90° when sitting in a normal chair). A misconception regarding kneeling chairs is that the body's weight bears on the knees, and thus users with poor knees cannot use the chair. In a proper kneeling chair, most of the weight remains on the buttocks, and some of the weight bears on the shins, not the knees. The primary function of the shin rests (knee rests) is to keep one from falling forward out of the chair." Now back to this particular chair. It's all about angles. The angle of the seat is quite steep. More so than in other chairs I've tried. It forces me to slide forward and place more weight on my shins or knees. I'm 5'10, and the knee pad is a little too far for me to rest my shins on it. As a result of all this I end up sitting on the edge of the seat with half of my weight rested on my knees. This is wrong. This chair does have three different positions for a kneeling pad, and height adjustment knob. None of those adjustments solve the problem. Higher seat positions make the angle of the seat even steeper. As I've said, I've tried a few other chairs after this one. I think rocking kneeling chairs are hands down the best. But another much cheaper and simple looking chair from my local store was also much more comfortable than this one. I hope it helps.

Should have listened to the other reviewers who talked about the angle of the seat. It is too steep, which means too much weight is on your shins. Then the back rest is too upright so it shoves you even further forward, making the chair uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. The wheels are not great either so it is difficult to move around my office. Also it is too low to the ground to find a comfortable foot position. I am only 5’6” but even on the “taller” setting of the three I had to either sploot my feet out on the floor or awkwardly tuck them in and under the back bar. If you are even taller than that I cannot imagine where your legs would go in this chair. Quality of materials and the pads were fine and assembly was easy, but I will be returning this because it will not work for me long term (or even for a day).

Very good value for money, easy to assemble, seems well built. Adjustable height and cushions are mostly comfortable, but my shins need to get used to the lower cushion. I love the side handles, one reason I bought this. I'm not too sure about the back rest - I thought it would be a good idea but it seems to push me forward if anything. Maybe I need to play with the height settings to get used to it. At worst I can remove it. For this price it doesn't matter. The bad thing about this is the castors - I'm going to get some decent rubber castors as the cheap plastic ones are total rubbish. I recomend this chair, but buy some decent castors.

I am thoroughly enjoying this kneeling chair. I recently retired and planned to indulge in my video game hobby. Only to find out after three weeks of sitting, my lower back was in intense pain. Standing was the only comfortable position. So I purchased this chair and an adjustable height desk. I stand half the time and now kneel half the time. No more back issues. Please note, I now also perform stretching exercises as part of my ergonomic routine. For info, I am 5’11” and (cough) 230 pounds. The key to using this chair is to remember it is a kneeling chair, not a shinning chair. Get my drift? You plant your knees in the foam pad and you can kneel for long periods of time. DO NOT SUPPORT YOUR WEIGHT ON YOUR SHINS!!!!! You will just have pain. Additionally, while supporting your weight on your knees, you will naturally sit towards the rear of the seat cushion which engages the back support. Reinforcing good posture and a relaxing experience. The chair does arrive needing assembly. The directions are clear, but please lay out all the parts (A-Z) per the parts list or you will have confusion picking the right sized screws for each assembly step. I know you want back relief and a quick assembly, but 10 minutes organizing the parts on a table will make assembly a 20 minute process. When it comes to adjusting for fit, there are three adjustments: 1) below the seat is an adjustment device to raise the seat. Very easy and quick to use. 2) the lumbar support can be slid forward and backwards. It requires loosening 3 screws first, then retightening them. Also easy to perform. 3). The knee pad support arm has three positions. This is more challenging to change. Oh well, such is life.

Easy to follow instructions. Easy to assemble. You have 3 settings for the primary angle of the chair. However if you want to change the primary angle you need to unscrew and move a rod to the next of 3 holes. the height of the chair is operated by a jack screw of sorts that can be easily turned by hand. The closer you sit to the back rest the better your overall posture will be. overall it's comfortable for a couple hours. I wouldn't say it's a good chair for 8 hours strait. But it will help your posture if you can endure it. I find the other best way to sit, is a squating position. With your feet up on the lower knee rest. overall it does what I wanted, better posture while gaming and office work. less back pain.

Good chair, organize your parts before assembly, it will take about 15 minutes to assemble (instructions are clear and concise, don't listen to the others complaining about that aspect of this product) The chair is sturdy enough but I believe at this price point the three position leg length adjustment at the front of this could have been designed better for quick adjustment. Would have been nice to be able to adjust the height of the back rest as well. Long story short- the ergonomics of this chair are good and allow me to sit for much longer without the lower back pain I get from conventional computer chairs, the hand rails on the side are a nice touch for those who are less limber for getting out of the chair.

I've had multiple Kneeling chairs over the years for different workspaces, and this one sadly had the shortest lifespan; it lasted a paltry 3 months. The chair is structured and assembled like my other kneeling chairs, only it comes with back support as well. However, I found my back barely ever utilised it. It is easy to put together and take apart. The cushion material is flimsy and peels off with minimal friction, the cushion for your knees is also not made for long-term use it seems, as after a month it felt like my knees were resting on a solid slab with zero cushioning. My biggest gripe is with the bolts used to fasten the entire chair together; I was tightening the bolts every day after a couple of weeks of using the chair, because they kept coming out, and eventually, the bolts stopped staying in altogether. We bought replacement bolts but those didn't stay in either; the issue was with the screw holes in the chair itself, they'd eroded from the constant loosening/tightening of the bolts. A similar chair I bought from another company has lasted me 4 years, and I only have to tighten the bolts once every few months. This chair by ViVo was a huge disappointment and was not worth the money, and I won't be recommending it.

Bought this chair in the hope of correcting long-standing hunchback from sitting at a desk - might take a while but I definitely am sitting up straighter. Arms weren't really necessary, but back rest is helpful. Very surprised at how comfortable this sitting position is. Word of caution, when scooting backwards its very easier to tip over and become stranded under chair!
