Makita Brushless Blower, Blue, 18V

Amazingly simple to put together and fits my existing makita 18v Lxt batteries in a jiffy...plug and play couldn't be simpler. Best surprise however was I thought I was only buying the bare unit but got a whole set of accessories with it including not only the handy strap for more ease of use practicalities BUT the full set of nozzles including the extender and flat nozzle... was not expecting that. The Blower itself is plenty powerful and will take care of all general household clearing duties from driveways to lawns...I live in an area surrounded by trees and will never fear the autumn again with this handy piece of kit to keep my property looking it's best in all seasons!! One note probably worth investing in extra battery packs cos this will eat up the juice on full power pretty quickly I would say about 10mins...not an issue for me as I have multiple batteries to keep me going given my investment in the tool range from Makita... overall couldn't be happier with the unit does exactly what I wanted and more with the accessories kit thanks Dinotech and great fast delivery service too!! Update to my review in Sept ...I have used this tool for soooo much more than simply blowing leaves and trimmings from my driveway and garden..... makes a great tool to quickly clear gutters of debris but mind I was standing on a flat roof so had perfect stability wouldnt recommend it up a ladder ....then the fact it clears surface water off a trampoline in a flash for dry jumping on a damp day .... great to give your air bricks a blast to keep them from being blocked... blast the shed floor clean.....blow away the cobwebs around the Cctv cameras... basically any areas of your house that could do with a quick blast of air for general maintenance then this is the tool for the job!!!

The blower is powerful enough to effectively blow leaves and small branches of finished driveways and walks. A bit less effective when used on the grass but still works well. There is a short delay before the motor reaches full speed, but barely noticeable. My 4 aH battery lasts for about 15-20 min, which is sufficient to clean the leaves of 250’ long driveway and garage pad. Lightweight, easy to handle, a bit noisy but I don’t think it will require ear protection. Battery life could be better, otherwise it’s a great machine.

This thing really took me by surprise when I pulled the trigger! I have a smaller Makita blower and that's quite weedy, despite running off the same 18v LXT batteries. This thing though is nuts... it stripped the moss off the top of the lawn! Runtime won't be long but that's a fine compromise given the power available. I have plenty of spare batteries as I have been buying Makita tools for twenty years. It's a bit loud so you should wear ear defenders when in use. It's well built like all Makita tools. In twenty years I have never been disappointed when I have purchased a Makita tool. This comes with all the nozzles, which isn't mentioned in the description but it should be. Fully recommended. UPDATE 04 NOVEMBER 2022: I am as impressed with this thing as when I first used it. It'll clear a lawn or driveway of leaves in minutes. I even used it to blow an entire poplar tree's leaves off a conservatorty roof from an upstairs window... bonkers. Yes, it eats batteries but what do you expect for the power on tap. If you already have Makita batteries (5Ah minimum) already and are considering buying a petrol blower, then reconsider and buy this instead.

Impressed with the power and lightweight. Mine (made 2021, brought Jan 2023) came with all the attachments and as bare tool as expecting. Bought as wanted to clear leaves off gravel around house. Also plan to use to dry the car after washing. Works well although I only have 2x 3.0AH batteries which it will go though quickly if used on full power. Certainly worth investing in a couple of 5.0AH. Anything larger than an average town garden and I would want the 36V or petrol. Would I buy it again, yes, should have brought one sooner.

..when you turn it on behaving like a small child inside your house. Outside however for it actual purpose its great. Chews through batteries but this is no surprise and I have a lot of spares. You get a decent amount of tubes, extensions and a shoulder strap. Its also surprisingly good at blowing water off your car after washing it and it doubles as a nice brake cooler should you want to pretend to be a F1 mechanic for the day. Just don't use it in the house to do the dusting the consequences could be severe :-)

Excellent leaf blower. Battery life is good for small spaces, you have to work quickly in bigger spaces. Easy to control speed. Comfortable to use. Must use ear defenders with it.

Pratico, leggero, potente e funzionale. La batteria è come la benzina per una Ferrari. Più si chiede e meno dura, inevitabilmente è così per qualsiasi prodotto elettrico. Accettabile con la 2 Ah per un uso leggero e ristretto. In vaste aree meglio uno a motore ma sopperisce discretamente con 2 batterie da 5 Ah. In dotazione il bocchettone stringente e 3 cilindri da montare per scegliere a piacere la lunghezza. Ottima qualità. Pienamente soddisfatto.

I bought this one-battery blower to replace an older two-battery unit I sold when I recently moved. I was concerned it might not be as powerful as the two-battery, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It is very powerful, and much lighter weight. It has a variable speed trigger, and also a "constant speed" lever so you don't have to use the trigger all the time for longer-duration use. I admit I'm a big fan of Makita - I have had many cordless Makita hand and yard tools, including a mower. And I've always been impressed by their quality and durability. This blower is no exception.

Nachdem ich zuerst das kleinere "Makita Akku-Gebläse 18 V" bestellt hatte, welches übrigens auch schon ordentlich Leistung zeigte, entschied ich mich letztlich doch für das größere und deutlich stärkere "Makita DUB184Z Akku Gebläse 18 V" Modell und habe es nicht bereut. Beide Geräte scheinen primär für den normalen Einsatz im Hausgebrauch konzipiert zu sein und genau dafür kann ich sie bedenkenlos empfehlen. Handlicher, kompakter und platzsparender ist das kleinere Akku-Gebläse, welches zum halben Preis der etwas größeren "DUB184Z" erhältlich ist. Wer nur gelegentlich etwas Laub wegpusten möchte oder kleinere Wege reinigen will, ist mit diesem Modell gut bedient. In meinem Fall sind es allerdings auch ein paar größere Flächen der Einfahrt und mich stört das etwas höhere Gewicht und die Größe des "DUB184Z" keinesfalls, denn auch mit Akku liegt es locker und handlich und kann für längere Arbeiten problemlos genutzt werden. Einen Fehler macht man mit keinem von beiden, aber wer mehr Power sucht und wem der Aufpreis egal ist, würde ich immer das größere Modell empfehlen. Die "DUB184Z" ist regulierbar im Gebläse, kommt je nach Ausstattung mit weiterem Zubehör und hält mit einem 18V, 5A Akku für einen mind. 10-minütigen Dauereinsatz. Tipps: Bei der Anwendung etwas Vorsicht mit dem sehr starken Ansaugsystem rückseitig, da dieses auch schnell mal lockere Kleidung verschlingen kann. Generell, wie bei allen Akku-betriebenen Geräten, sollte bei größeren Projekten immer ein Zweit-Akku bereitliegen, da diese Maschine sehr leistungshungrig ist. Vor der ersten Anwendung und bei fehlender Erfahrung, langsam an die maximale Gebläsestufe annähern, da dieses Gerät auch kleine Steinchen durch die Gegend schießen kann und dies sicherlich nicht immer kontrolliert. Absolute Kaufempfehlung und dank Amazon Prime immer eine sichere Anschaffung. 5/5

Muy buen equipo...bieñ hecho, correa para no cansarse...potente chorro de aire, regulable...gracias Dios que no tiene seguro en el gatillo, tube uno de una marca famosa y muy cara...tenia 3 seguros, te cansabas ante de empesar a soplar...la jente dice que se acaba la bataria muy rapido, no se que bataria ellos llevan y de que marca...mia es de makita autentico 5ah bieñ cargada, mas de media hora de trabajo y cuando termine...todavia tenia dos rallas...el mi casa todas heramientas de mano y de jardin es de makita, llevo muchos años utilizando, con 4 batarias y cargador rapido....ninguna queja...en resumen....muy buena calidad, barata, ligera con motor sin escobillas, lo recomiendo y estoy muy contento con la compra....esta fabricada en Rumania...es Europa..no China....ya es tiempo de producir todo con calidad
