Great book
This exceptional book introduces the reader to the active use of the R language for statistical analysis from the first pages. Instead of following the paradigm of building up the basic parts of the language by devoting 100 pages to explain vectors, matrices, lists, and other not fun things, it dives into the application of R for the analysis of the non-formatted real data sets, at the same time covering the essentials of the R. This is the best book for self-study. The answers to the exercises can be requested from the book author.

A more serious book than it appears
This is a very thorough and thoughtful presentation of Statistics and the R language. I learned a great deal. The only real downside to the book is that it is a bit corny, but perhaps this will appear to undergraduate students.

Useless book. Do not waste your time with this piece of garbage.
Terrible useless book. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I rented this to help me in a statistics course I was struggling with and all it did was give me more problems. It's written in a cutesy prose that is distracting when you just want to learn the code. It did not help me a single bit. I would not recommend this at all to anyone struggling in statistics. Statistics is a difficult course. This book will only make it more difficult.

Avoid if you are learning independently
I bought this book for self study and I am not affiliated with any educational institution. Exercises are key to test and really learn, however there are solutions to the toughest question are restricted to educators or institutions. For the price it is currently at, I am not deriving the full value of this book. I regret buying this book, because apart from this it is a very good book for self study. I tried contacting support to help me out, they eventually ignored all my pleas and they had very poor understanding of what is available and what is not and the book itself.
