Can you see the room inside the room in the evening when the light is on inside the house?

Yes, really only effective in the daytime, so still need curtains or blinds for night time.

Does it keep heat in too?

No it will reflect heat away from the room as the shiny side faces outwards. If you turn it the opposite way then it’ll reflect the heat in but outsiders will be able to see in your house and you won’t be able to see out. It does make your room slightly darker as it reflects the sun

Can you send the instructions?

I discarded any instructions after my first disaster. I just made sure the window was spotlessly clean and dust free. Wet glass liberally with small drop of washig up liquid in water. ( measure and cut film before applying). Apply sticky side to glass and use squeegee to eliminate bubbles as you pull backing off a little bit at a time. Hope you understand my "method". I have done several windows and doors including my camper van.

You don’t need a set of instructions. Check out how to apply it on YouTube videos. Just make sure the window is squeaky clean before you start. Had to use this to rude neighbours peering in . Does the job . Doesn’t work at night if the lights are on in the room.
