Are these brushes for watercolor?

They aren't soft enough for watercolor. The water wouldn't impregnate the bristles properly and wouldn't allow for good pigment transfer. Also they shed very badly and outright fall apart during painting and washing.

Can these be used with makeup??

I suppose they could be used for anything that would be able to be squeezed out of the tip. So now you have me wondering what in the world type of makeup you're talking about!

Are they good for oil painting?

I bought these brushes for my granddaughter. She uses them to do art makeup on her face, etc. I don't know if this answers your question but the paints are about the same consistency as the oils.
