Arc'teryx Therme Parka - Men's

I'm a little over 6 feet tall, 195 lbs and the MEDIUM fits me perfectly. This is my first Arcteryx but I've consistently been a large with Patagonia. I had to send back the Large because there was too much room in chest and waist and the sleeves were a little too long. So from my experience, a size down is probably best. The parka is very sleek, very minimalist. They focused on design rather than flash and I really appreciate that. It's kinda of like a car with incredible specs that doesn't go out of it's way to be noticed. No fur on the collar but 750 fill down and a zipper that moves like it has an electronic assist. Columbus Ohio winters are typically too bad so I'm sure this will handle them adequately.

I have always found Arcteryx to be of super quality and this jacket does not disappoint. It is surprisingly warm and I find it best in temps below 20F. Above that and I am too warm in it when walking ~2 miles in the city. Agree with other viewers complaints that the neck is way too large and awkward. I would have also preferred to have a cinching cuff at the sleeves, as the arms are way too long for me. I have to roll the sleeve fabric, which is not too bad actually. Those design issues are the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars.

Beautifully made, warm, modern, low key and highly functional winter coat for urban use. The hood is a bit large, but the Therme is unmatched in terms of design, subtle technical features and performance for cold weather use. I studied this jacket for several years before purchasing and I’m thrilled with the style, design and performance. Highly recommended and worth the investment. I anticipate many seasons of use from this piece of outerwear.

Got this from Amazon, new, waterproof and windproof. I was very surprised how light it is, it's even lighter than jackets I have for warmer weathers. This thing feels nice and fluffy, looks sleek on the outside, and withstand about -10C degree outside. Great investment!

Not slim for my taste. But great arcteryx quality and style. Too baggy for me, hence the 4 star but might work for you.

I still haven't get a change to wear this beautiful jacket but it's light and waterproof and I am sure it's warm as well. Will update this once I wear it in the winter

Great for walking around Chicago in temperatures under 32F even when the wind is blowing hard.

Great jacket! Black color wasn't as dark as I expected. Minor improvements would be to add wrist sinch to keep cold weather out. Love the fit!

Lovely warm Parka well made and excellent price

I purchased this item with the intent to use it mainly for everyday use and skiing when needed. I have to say this product has not let me down. Used it for 5 days of continuous intense skiing with no problem. The zip goes all the way up and once fully zipped provides incredible coverage from the wind as it rests covering my mouth. There is a fabric protector so that the zip does not rub against the mouth and lightly lifting the head up allows the top part to rest comfortably under my chin. The built quality is excellent as expected for the price of this product and no corners have been cut. The pockets are all zipped and slide up and down smoothly with a small fabric attached so that they can be easily accessed whilst wearing gloves. The inside is very soft and very warm so that the only clothes needed under the jacket are a t-shirt and a sweater (a sweater is not even needed in some cases). The hood is large, insulated and provides a small cap (roof?) so that it is not blown back by the wind. This is a perfect jacket for everyday use. The one jacket that can do it all.
