A bit of affordable luxury
These 7 1/2oz, Oslo Cappuccino Cups from Bormioli Rocco are the perfect cups to go with my new Nespresso machine! The cups are made of suitably thick, clear glass and each cup has a removable, stainless steel handle. The cups are easy to clean and are dishwasher safe. they come well packed and there are 4 cups in the box. I ordered two boxes and all 8 cups are perfect with no issues or defects. These cups are the perfect size for a cappuccino. Bormioli Rocco also makes a smaller cup very similar to this that is the right size for a single (or double) espresso. Obviously, you can serve an espresso or cappuccino in any cup but at since these cups are so reasonably priced, I see them as a bit of affordable luxury. And because they are designed to show off a beautiful, rich espresso, a golden crema and a silky layer of frothed milk, they make serving a cappuccino kind of an elegant affair. My guests (and even my husband) seem to enjoy the presentation. I did read that one reviewer had a cup explode but so far, I've had no issues and I am very pleased with them.

Happy with product!
I’ve had these glass cups for over two years and still love them. I’ve cleaned them both in the dishwasher and by hand, and they’ve held up great. They feel worth the price and honestly make coffee look even better—simple, good-quality cups I’d buy again.

Stylish, inexpensive, machine washable.
I really do like these cups. They frame a cappuccino beautifully, are comfortable to hold, and seem extremely durable. I like the styling, especially the detachable stainless steel handles, which, contrary to other reviews I've read, fit quite snugly. I don't really know why they are detachable, though I have noticed that stainless steel tends to lose some luster in conventional dishwashers, so maybe that's the reason, or maybe they were just easier to manufacture that way. At any rate, the handle keeps your fingers nice and cool, and looks rather cool to boot. These come in a set of four, though I don't know what the "Gift Boxed" thing is all about. It looked like regular packaging to me. 8 oz. is just about perfect for a cappuccino, which is traditionally 5-7 oz, and the transparent glass makes it easy to see the separation of the coffee and foam. They are also inexpensive compared to other glass cappuccino cups, and I would recommend them to anyone who makes and drinks cappuccino on a regular basis.

Good for Nespresso Lattissima Plus Lattes/Cappuccinos - watch out for the foam!
Having purchased a DeLonghi Silver Lattissima Plus Nespresso Capsule System a few weeks ago, I wanted to get some nice cups to go with it. Given that Nespresso's own glasses were twice as expensive (and you only get 2 cups for the price), and Bodum cups have had mixed reviews with cracking/fragility issues, I decided to try these. Very happy with them so far - especially considering the price. The metal handle pops off easily for cleaning and yet is snug/ secure when in use, and the cup's dimensions make it very easy to clean: not so narrow at the base that it makes it difficult to get a sponge in there. I'm not going to be putting the handles in the dishwasher as I've have had experience of these sorts of things tarnishing over time (can't say specifically for this item though). Can't say I agree with other reviewers about the wire handles being painful - I think they're pretty stylish and don't think they are designed to be held for extended periods of time like coffee mugs. The only comment I can make at this point is related specifically to the Nespresso machine and the size of the cup (8oz). I did my homework and read the Nespresso manual: a latte with the Lattissima Plus is supposed to be 6.35oz: 5oz milk + 1.35oz espresso. However, I don't think this takes into account the size of the foam on top (which is understandable as the amount of foam can be varied on the machine). First time I made a latte, it came VERY close to spilling over (I will upload a picture soon): I had to sip a bit of the foam off while it was still brewing. Obviously this is not a problem with the cup - just something for Nespresso users to bear in mind. For anyone that is interested in the exact volume the cup can hold, it takes exactly 250ml (8.45oz) of water to fill the cup to the brim. Very happy! _________ UPDATE ended up buying Serafino Double Wall 8 oz Beverage & Coffee Glasses - Set of 4 Insulated Drinking Glasses as I found that the Bormioli's did not retain the heat of the drink very well at all. In contrast the Ozeri's keep the drink noticeably hotter for longer. This is the only reason Im taking the glasses down to 4 stars.

Unique Style, Well Made and Durable
I read some reviews before purchasing these. I saw people complain that the glass falls out of the metal handle or that they're not durable or the wrong size, blah blah blah. I'm here to refute all those claims. I have not experienced the glass coming free from the handle while drinking. In fact I have sort of swung the empty glass around by the handle a bit just to test it out. I really don't see what these people are doing to cause that problem. As for durability, they are thick glass. And they're tempered. Excellent durability. I make a cappuccino that fits perfectly in this mug. If you don't know what size vessel you need for the beverage you're drinking, maybe these are small. Don't try to fit a latte in here. Get a bigger size if that's what you drink. At the current price of $11.25 for a set of four I don't know how anyone could complain at all. What a great deal on a very cool product.

Cappuccino cup
Substantial, heavy cup. Attractive and functional

Good looking cup that's worth its weight, depending.
A few weeks ago, I purchased the smaller version (4 oz.) for use with my Nespresso machine; love those 4 oz cups. I recently purchased this larger version (8 oz.) for making full sized cappuccino's and Latte's. These larger cups look great and offer nice aesthetics: the stainless steal metal base band; the angled handle; and the glass--I like being able to see the deliciousness I'm enjoying. That being said, each cup weighs around 9.5 oz. and with the decreasing-angle of the handle, it tends to make this cup seem heavier than it really is. To compensate, I had to engage a lot more middle finger to the handle to keep it stabilized. It's not difficult to do and doesn't amount to much on its own but the finger requirement is noticeably absent when compared to it's identical but smaller little brother (4 oz.). In the end, I find this larger vessel's extra weight and slightly awkward handle an acceptable trade-off for the rewards it stylishly delivers in greater, frothy cappuccino-goodness. UPDATE: After a couple of months of regular use, I've come back to edit my rating to 3-stars from 4-stars. The cup's strengths are still present but it's weaknesses have become more noticeable to me. In my case, should I need to reheat my beverage, I have to pry off the metal-banded handle or dump the liquid into another vessel before using the microwave. Secondly, the weight of the glass itself is heavier than all of the other cups I own and the design of the handle, though visually appealing, is less about function and more about form. As such, the handle moves about on the cup depending on how it's held or how much liquid is in it or whatever, it just doesn't feel "connected". When I wash these cups, I am always be mindful that the handle is not affixed so I must consciously hang on to the glass itself or it may fall out of the metal band if the cup ever goes upside down, especially under soapy water. In contrast to the smaller version, the 4 oz., the handle-to-glass ratio is just right. The design is the same but it's effectiveness is perfect in the smaller package.

beautiful extension of our glass set
We chose this style to fit with the espresso glasses we already have. Exact same style but holds 8 ounces instead of just 2. Not big enough for really fancy drinks but perfect for the morning americano. THe metal wriggles of the glass if you feel the need to clean there too but usually only the inside of the glass gets dirty. We dont have a dishwasher so we didnt try that. good buy I would definitely recommend.

Excelente producto
Las tazas son hermosas y resistentes. Obvio al ser de cristal hay que cuidarlas un poco más pero resisten temperaturas altas. Lo que si es que recomiendo que las sequen después de lavarlas para que no se manchen por el agua.
