Zentangle 3: with Rubber Stamps Paperback – January 1, 2010

this book is great to look at, enjoy, and keep close at hand. This is such a great, relaxing and therapeutic thing to do. I have only discovered this 6 months ago and wish I had known about it for so much longer. This series of books is great to have and have fun with. DO IT NOW!!! Buy the the whole series and all of them that are to come.

As I am a constant Zentangler, belong to an "exchange" group and have my creations framed on my walls....I have to say that I love all of Susanne McNeill's Zentangle books. There are many pictures of how she has used her particular design and the process steps to re-create that design are very easy to do. It's a fun book and a must if you are a passionate "Zentangler" as I am. I own most of the Zentangle books out there (with the exception of one or two) and always look forward to another book by her.

This book has some really nice examples and lots of patterns. Compared to Totally Tangled though, between the two, I like Totally Tangled and think it has a little more substance to it. Zentangle 3 is a very slim volume. It has some of the same patterns as other books and a lot of new ones and tangles with new twists.A special feature of the book is using zen tangle with rubber stamping. There are some examples, maybe there could have been more, but there are some. The book shows some very good examples of incorporating rubber stamps and tangling together which makes for interesting ideas. There are some good examples and some average ideas. In general, you will get a good idea of how to use the two together. It also shows some greeting cards made with tangling and stamping which are very cool. There is a also page with examples of different types of tangled flowers which is nicely done. Like I said it's fairly slim but the pages are in a large 8 1/2 x 11 format so there are a lot of examples on each page. There is also a cool section on tags and some neat ideas if you like to make art on tags-in this case it's to keep track of patterns but you can come up with your own ideas for them as well. Some of the tangles may be familiar, but some are new and fun to try. All in all clever, but I do think that Totally Tangled is laid out better and has a little more art and style to it.I ordered a friend Yoga for the Brain and I will get to see it soon, so I will see how it measures up between the two books. If you really love tangling and want to use stamps with it, this book is a good idea. It does have good examples to get creative ideas for your own artwork. I'd say if you get this book together with Totally Tangled, you'll have a very nice base to work with. Lots of tangles and ideas on how to use them with other supplies to round out a basic knowledge of the art.

Zentangle 3 is outstanding...as are Zentangle Basics and Zentangle 4. I have Zentangle 2 on order and I'm sure it will NOT disappoint. These books are amazingly easy to follow. You can spend hours doing tangles! It is theraputic and relaxing. I am totally obsessed with Zentangle!!

I absolutely love zentangling. The book is so helpful in learning to tangle. Its pictures are concise and easy to follow. It opens a whole new world of doodling with a purpose. I have taken it to a whole new level combinding it with my watercolor painting. It's so easy and fun! I would recommend all the zengantle books. I have then all!!!!!

Always fun to do Zentangle, this presents a more challenging attempt to do it. I mostly do it at night, while watching TV and it is very therapeutic.

The product was fine. I was hoping for the rubber stamps but it does give good ideas on how to use with them .... when you find the ones you like. Artwork and ideas were great...kd houston

Wonderful new tangles I've not seen before. I like having a reference for new tangles for when I get blocked. The tangles are easy to make into your own personal twist. I love the layout. The only reason I didn't give it a "5" is because the title indicates a more advanced book and I was expecting more. I'm not disappointed in the book but if you are looking for an advanced book, this isn't it.

Just like it says. If you have outline stamps, a good way to get into zentangle. I like that it's a smaller area to start with as compared to a large blank page. Instruction on pen markings etc.

Sans le savoir je réalisais des zentangles depuis des années, mes cahiers d'écolière peuvent en témoigner.J'espère juste ne pas avoir d'ennuis avec la créatrice de ce style qui a monté tout un business autour de ce concept (ils sont forts les américains, si j'avais eu le sens du commerce plus jeune je serais peut être plus riche...) Il y a des motifs déposés, des professeurs certifiés, des procès en contre-façon...A part cela, j'admets que les motifs proposés sont agréables, faciles à reproduire, et que la pratique du Zentangling est relaxante.

This range of books are an excellent way to get into producing some amazing artwork. I am relatively new to this art form and have found this book and nos 1,2 and 4 a great help to getting me started. The designs are clearly shown step by step and you easily can build up to attempting some more complex designs yourself.. Highly recommended to mixed media artists like myself.

Ich schreibe gern mein Feedback zum Dritten Band, kaufte ich mir doch die ersten drei Bände von diesem Büchlein.Die Fülle an Zentangles, die hier vermittelt werden, das Grundgefühl:"Du kannst nichts falsch machen". Die pädagogisch wichtigen Hinweise für welche Altersstufe welche Größe des Papiers am besten ist, damit die Lust am Zentangeln niemals verloren geht.Die kreativen Beispiele,all dies ist einfach wunderschön anzusehen, zu lesen und sich dabei inspirieren zu lassen. Mittlerweile habe ich selbst fünd Zentangel Bilder nach diesem Büchleins gemacht und ich bin glücklich darüber.Innen drin ruhig werden, wenn es rundherum hektisch und chaotisch zugeht. Das gelingt mit Hilfe dieser klaren Anleitungen, die nicht nur zeigen wie man einzlene Zentangel macht, sondern auch was man dann mit ihnen machen kann.Ich werde mir die anderen Bände einfach wünschen :-)
