What else can I say? It's Kingsford and after all these years I've found that they make the BEST charcoal for lighting in my chimney starter and then dumping into the firebox of my offset smoker. They last a long time, and they are easy to top up for a long smoking session by simply lighting another half chimney of coals and putting them just behind the existing coals. it maintains the temperature and they start to burn slowly and evenly right away. I've been using an offset for over 20 years and found after experimenting with all different types of lump charcoal and different manufacturers briquettes that these are STILL the best!

I like to use Kingsford charcoal with Mesquite, gives a great taste for my BAR_B_Que I only use Italian sauce to coat my meat on the fire, so the mesquite flavor will give it a great flavor.
