Great Book! You Need This!
Excellent book!I almost made the mistake of NOT buying this assuming I could get reloading data online. DONโT make that mistake! There are page after page of safety warnings that I hadnโt thought of! One mistake could ruin a great hobby. Besides the necessary safety stuff, itโs loaded with very valuable reloading data, that frankly I doubt could be found easily online. Aside from the fact that โonlineโ may not always be an option. Iโve been reloading for decades but this is my first attempt at shotgun reloading. Itโs much more involved that I expected! Iโm very glad I bought this book! Delivery was fast! I read it cover to cover before loading my first hull. Glad I did too. Itโs well written and organized making it quick & easy to find the particular data you need instantly.

You can get the data for FREE, but... its a single-source worth the price as a reference guide.
Let me first say you can find everything you need to know about shotshell reloading on the internet for FREE. You do not NEED this book. All of the powder manufactures publish load data, and some ammunition companies like Rio publish data for their particular hulls. The technique for using the press is provided in the instructions. There are countless blogs on hull identification. However, this is a very nice single-source reference guide to all things shotshelll reloading. The guide has it all. Hull identification and selections, tips and warnings, even instructions from MEC on their single stage and progressive presses. The guide also included steel, tungsten, and heavy shot. I think it is worth a little extra cash to have it on the reloading bench for quick reference and refreshing ones knowledge without tracking down multiple sources.

Great information
The title says it all. It really is a comprehensive book about reloading. They even have a chapter or 2 on best practices and safety. Very worthwhile.

Good book, but maybe done in by the internet
This a good book. I especially like the insiders tips and techniques on two of the MEC loaders, 600 Jr Mk. 5 and the 9000N. So if you have a MEC loader, its worth the the buy. There is a lot of good shot shell data, and ballistics comparison and research regarding primers and wads. And of course plenty of recipes in the back of the book. This is where I think the internet has done this book in. Many of the recipe shot data can be found online at either the powder manufactures website or the wad makers etc... showing FPS and PSI with various combination of grains, primers, wads and shot shells. Many powder manufactures, like Alliant or Hodgdon have phone numbers you can call if you have questions, and both have pretty good customer service. So if you want to save money, much of the data is available for free on the internet. But if you want a hard copy reference with reliable shell / powder combinations, than this is a great buy.

Best Shotshell Manual in Print
I've long preferred the Lyman manual over all others for shotshell reloading data. The load data and other general info in this book will have you making premium quality shotshells in no time at all.

A must have
Got this book as finding steel shot in south Florida is near impossible and if I can find it, it's 3x the price of Massachusetts. Very informative as it has history, information on what company makes what type of shells, and a ton of loading data for 10, 12, 16, 20, 28, and .410 bore. Full color pictures of the hulls, list of powders, non toxic shot, slug and buckshot. Does not have any info for brass hulls. It is a valuable asset for the loading bench for pro's and first timers.

Total waste of money
I manly bought the book for the VihtaVuori data. But thatโs nothing, just a hand full of recipes with VihtaVuori powders. Nothing to be excited about. They manly used Alliant powder maybe a touch of Hodgdon just for flavor. I wish I had never bought that book. I have always been satisfied with the Lyman books but this one is garbage.
