Mid-Century Modern Design: A Complete Sourcebook

This is an absolute treasure of mid-century design. I use this book as an inspiration tool for my architectural designs and hobbies. The book is filled with graphics, pictures, and the stories of the designers who created and evolved this timeless era of design and art. I complement this book with Dieter Rams work to highlight the intense quality and thought put into the designs for both aesthetics and usability/functionality. The book was delivered on-time shrink wrapped and neatly placed in typical Amazon box and packaging. This is a go to book for any design enthusiast. Enjoy.

This is an excellent book on Mid-Century Modern Design.

Great book loved it

This book has tons of photos and is great for identifying the names and designers of furniture pieces and styles you've probably seen but haven't known how to identify. A good reference. It has other stuff besides furniture, like textiles and classic houses and vases and radios, which was of secondary interest to me yet still interesting. It would be neat if they threw in a section on mid century modern clothing, if there is such a thing.

This book resides on an end table of my Mid Century Modern Livingroom, it is honestly the best mid century modern book I have with an extensive photo selection and write ups on some key players of the era.

I own several good books on mid-century. This, by far, is the best and most encyclopedic out there. And fun. And well-written. And sprawling in topics. Believe the other reviewers. As an aside, I have been a fan of the author's other books on design and architecture as well. The guest contributors were also smart and insightful. The book's availability on Amazon varies. Not sure if Amazon or the publisher is the issue. BUT, again, this book is both definitive and awesome.
