I get these as a "good dog for going outside and doing your business" treat for my 20 lb cocker spaniel. I like the limited ingredients and this brand always worked well for my dogs in the past. So many of these weirdo treats get odd additives that are hard on dogs' digestive system. But these go down just fine. I order the small size, so I can confidently give four or five a day without worrying about overfeeding. I really like that there are several flavor (combo) options and my pup loves crunching on them - the texture seems very satisfying to her. They don't smell bad but are odiferous enough for her to be consistently interested and they are always fresh.

Dogs love them. Crunchy and very aromatic to entice the pups.

Limited Ingredient Treats Sweet Potato & Venison Formula Small Breed Dry Dog Treats, 8-Ounce My dog has a long list of allergies and this is one of the few snacks that he can enjoy. I have been purchasing this product for several years and my dog really enjoys it. Recently, the price of the sweet potato and venison treats has been only $3.29. It is a great price and the treats are easy for my dog to digest. I’ve been pretty happy and purchased dozens of this product. However, I recently started to notice the treats are not as soft and crispy like they used to be. The last three bags I purchased (for which I’m writing this review) have contained rock hard treats. They are so hard that I’m afraid my dog will break a tooth. So each time I open a bag, I take a mortar and pestle and I pulverize the treats into safe, bite size pieces. My dog can easily chew these pieces so that makes me happy. What does not make me happy is this: about 15 percent of the treats turn into a fine powder after bashing them. So there’s a bunch of brown powder that is reminiscent of the sugary powdered stuff left at the bottom of my kids’ favorite cereal bags. I usually just pour a bit of the treat powder over her regular food, which is like a tasty topping for her. I am hoping that Natural Balance listens to this review. My dog cannot eat normal treats, so I rely on this product to keep my dog satisfied. If the quality of the treats does not improve, I might simply turn to cooking all of her treats myself.

Excellent 'training' size. Too big for roller balls, but small enough for guilt-free rewards. Hard kibble-like treats make for great packability in pockets on walks without a mess. The kidz let me know they 'deserve' one by sitting under their treat jar with the "you forgot something" stare.

They are perfect for her food trial because of the limited ingredients and she loves them!!! They are smelly enough for her to be enticed but not so smelly that I hate having to touch them. They are crunchy and easy to break into two if you want to! Perfect staple treat to keep on hand.
