Informative teaching book

This is an excellent introduction to coding concepts. The book is beautifully laid out with clear, step-by-step instructions and helpful diagrams that make complex ideas easy to understand. The highest praise I can give is that I've been reading it side-by-side with my 5-year-old, and the visuals and explanations are simple enough for her to grasp the basic concepts. It sparks great conversations about how technology works. It's a fantastic resource not just for adult beginners, but also for parents looking to introduce computational thinking to young children in a fun, engaging way. Highly recommended for visual learners and family learning.

I’m already familiar with most of the languages in this book, but I figured it would be fun to do some of the projects they had inside. I was disappointed to find out when I received it, that the first two images on the product listing are not from this book. I was looking forward to building a password generator which it does not have in here. Also, the ‘build a game’ page for Scratch is different too. You still build a game but not what you expect from what is shown on Amazon. Still worth picking up if you want to learn to code or teach your kids.

I am just starting out learning the concepts of coding, because I would like to start making my own video games as a hobby. I have purchased other "how-to" guides for beginners, which ended up being very confusing and required a more intermediate level of knowledge with coding. I am very happy with this book, as it provides straightforward and easy to understand lessons in four different coding languages, along with access to a free-to-use coding program so you can practice each lesson step-by-step in real time. The book is very colorful and laid out well with lots of pictures to illustrate each step in the process. I highly recommend this book for people like me, who are just starting out with coding and want to grasp the fundamentals before jumping into the deep end.

Very educational but I need tutoring.

I am not a seasoned programmer, so I cannot compare this to other resources available. Regarding the book itself, though, it is very high quality. The book itself is a hard cover with very high production values. Everything is illustrated and easy to understand. Like I said, I cannot vouch for the nitty-gritty that an expert might be able to, but from my perspective, this is a great place to start as a beginner.

bought this for a partner’s sibling who had just told us he wanted to make a career change. He had already started studying so I didn’t want to buy something irrelevant or oversimple. This was easy enough to understand, while going into complex lessons on a variety of coding languages. Would recommend, I was tempted to buy myself a copy.

Le design est vraiment sympa mais une fois cela passé des informations importantes sont manquantes et d’autres sont incomplètes. Les exercices de mise en pratique sont assez sympa mais ce qui ressort est que le livre en général mériterait d’être plus complet. Comme premier pas dans ce monde theodinproject est plus intéressant.

The book packaging is WORSE, why don’t these guys pack in a sensible and sane way ? Just wrap the cello tape for the sake of wrapping and packing !!! It damages my books while opening the package, PLEASE STOP PACKING LIKE THIS.

This is a great coding book. Very simple to follow and to understand. Programmers - watch your back.
