Avedis Zildjian Company 14 inch I Series Crash Cymbal (ILH14Cd1)

I bought a used one and it was like new! I love it so much. Sounds amazing. Beautiful. The highest quality.

Great low price for this crash. It was shipped really fast and sounds great. It’s a nice cross between a crash and splash. It’s thinner than a more expensive cymbal, but that’s what I’d expect for the price. It’s clearly Zildjian quality, which is the best around. I use a mostly electronic kit, with a few acoustic elements, so I guess you could say it’s a hybrid. This is a nice addition. I also have a Zildjian K-splash and Zil-Bel. Excellent quality and sound on those too. I’m definitely a Zildjian snob.

I've played mostly "A" Zildjians my whole life. I was looking for a trash crash and the ones I found locally either didn't have the sound I wanted or were too expensive. This is the first cymbal I've bought online without listening to it first-I figured since it's returnable I'd take a chance. Very glad I did! Looks great and more importantly sounds great! Tone is in between my 16'" thin crash "A" and my 18" dark crash Sabian HHX. Plus it has the rough trashy sound--nice contrasting effect. This is also the first cymbal I've ever bought that was in the original factory bag from Zildjian. Nice. I do wish Amazon had packed it better--mine arrived without problems but they literally just put the cymbal in a 2 foot x 3 foot x 5 inch box and taped it shut. No padding or packing of any kind. Amazon packers--you can do better!

As others have noted -- this is not an expensive cymbal. Given that, you shouldn't be too surprised if it cracks after a couple of years. Mine has nearly made it three years, but the crack slowly working its way from the center out to the edge has forced me to order a replacement. No issues with the sound. The durability is what it is for the price.

Before buying this, I read the reviews. I do love the sound. Time will tell if it holds up.

Nice hi-hats, but not for me. I like to play with Cool Rods and I guess because the volume is lower the overtones really pop out. My pair had a weird unpleasant tin-like pronounced overtone. It may be my Gibraltar stand, I don't know. More I played more I got frustrated. This relationship was going nowhere and I decided to return them. Again, may be just my particular setup and technique. I do like my ZIldjian 13" S series pair much better for more pleasant and crisper sound, again using Cool and Hot Rods.
