Its just... ok.
The range of motion settings would become "unlocked" on both extend and flex. I would be lying if I said that it didn't hurt a bit when my arm extended past the set degree.

If you are unfortunate enough to need one of these, this brace by Orthomen works and feels better than the $600 medical ortho brace they gave me after surgery.
