Sunleaves Jamaican Bat Guano, 2.2 Pound

Used as a phosphorous soil amendment, top-dressing, and compost tea ingredient to feed cannabis, herbs, and vegetables. Satisfactory results all around. Seems to be well composted. Although I don't recommend such high rates, I experimented with trying to overuse it as a soil amendment (1/3 guano, 2/3 organic potting mix) and did not notice any apparent 'burn' or toxicity symptoms. Ordered 2.2lbs at $14.78, but received 3lb. I wouldn't assume that's the norm.

What I DO know is that Bat Guano is great for your plants, and it keeps me organic in my growing. I don't have double blind studies or placebos that I'm interested in testing to see if this stuff actually does anything. History shows that it does.

(ASIN: B0001WV6HS) Can't make any claims for this outside planting season, but I will tell you about the past. The year is 1990 and we have moved into a rental townhouse. Next door is a very testy and annoying couple, who have been endowed with the out-of-town landlord's right to poke and prod in his absence and on his behalf. The first to occur was the birdfeeder I put in a tree next to my area of the front porch. "It will cause birds to come, feed, and poop all over the porch." Well, what else do birds have going for them, except for their coloration and song? Why, they bring brooms! All to naught because the birdfeeder was physically removed, never to be seen again. Other things transpired. (Too bad they couldn't act when the roof and basement leaked.) They planted impatiens. Following suit, I fed mine with Jamaican guano. Don't remember how much I used; there were no instructions from the Irish hardware people selling it and it wasn't available anywhere else. (There was little demand here at the time for bat poop.) Whatever I did worked. Their flower boxes were filled with some things that did just resemble impatiens, but were very scraggy and much smaller than mine, which came forth in a rush of growth. It is now 2013 and I ran out of guano. So I ordered this from Amazon. And will try it on inside plants over the winter. Good luck to you, too. (And don't forget to check your roof.)

I almost put a 2 star on this product. I prefer Fish and Guano to this fertilizer, I will not buy Sunleaves Jamaican Bat Guano again, it did not perform as expected.

The bat guano is so good for my garden, I till it into my flower beds in early spring and by planting time I have revitalized my soil. Great product, no chemicals.

Sunleaves confirmed this product is NOT OMRI listed. I am glowing organic fruits but went up to smoke. I already put them on my garden. Amazon need take this title down.

Stopped using it after the first time, now i'm stuck with a bag of bat guano...

This is a great bloom booster. My wife's flowers have beautiful large blooms, my tomatoes and sunflowers look incredible. One tomato vine has at least 15 tomatoes beginning to ripen. Our Mr. Lincoln rose has come alive with more blooms than either of us remember, before we started using Guano. We recently switched to Bird Guano, because I read that gathering the Bat Guano often disturbs the cave environment badly. Gathering Bird guano does not damage the bird nesting and rookeries.
