Our map is advertisement-free and printed in the USA on durable high quality paper (not laminated). It is meant as a true walking tour guide that you can bring back home as a souvenir. Review: I'm very happy with this map. I address complaints. - This map is exactly what I hoped it would be. It's well made and is loaded with interesting and fun facts. But the main reason I'm reviewing this is to address a couple complaints. First, one complaint is that false advertising is involved becuase the map isn't laminated but the description explicitly states that it's not laminated. It's possible that the description at one time did say it was laminated in error but, if so, that has been corrected. Another similar complaint is that the paper is cheap and tears easily. That's simply not true. It's printed on very heavy and durable paper - heavier and more durable that regular state maps, etc. Lastly, someone complained because they apparently thought it would be a regular street map but the whole point of this map is to illustrate interesting places in the French Quarter and include interesting facts and stories. Regular street maps don't have that. That's what sets this map apart. I really like it. I've collected a pretty good library of books about the French Quarter since my first visit in 2004 when I fell in love with the F.Q. and this map is a nice addition to that collection. That said, I wouldn't advise walking around the French Quarter with this map open. That would instantly identify one as a tourist and may cause you to be a target of street hustlers. Bottom line: I'm very happy with this map and the folks who made it did a great job. Review: Map supreme - Great map for the French Quarter

Pictoral...easy to remember
Maps are great, but...every area looks the same. With this map, various prominent bldgs are shapes on the map. Trolley lines show up v well. Makes it possible to 'guesstimate' walking distances and logical directions of travel.

Best map of the French Quarter out there!
I bought this map for my 2nd trip to New Orleans and found it to be incredible. It correctly lists the hotels, restaurants and museums. It has a lot of interesting facts about New Orleans. It also gives a good representation of the distance between places in the French Quarter which especially helpful if you are exploring on foot.

Loved this map.
Our 15 year old used this on a trip with us to New Orleans. Great map. Beautiful pictures and wonderful information and history printed on it as well. Map skills were learned first hand by this teen while we walked all over the French Quarter. Itโs a perfect keepsake as well.

Another great map by Michael Karpovage. Work of art!
With today's technology,we often take something as simple as a map forgranted. GPS and online maps cannot compare to sitting down with a map spread out on the table before you, trying to zoom in, zoom out,and having to find where you were a second ago. You can actually read all the printed details without squinting or pulling out the magnifying glass. This map is not only functional,it has nuggets of fun and interesting historical facts tucked around the edges and on the back. I absolutely love the craftsmanship of this map. It is artful enough to hang above my desk to look upon as I daydream about a trip into the French Quarter.
