Transformers Masterpiece MP27 Ironhide/TAKARATOMY/Figure

Finally a great looking G1 representation of the cartoon action figure that is Ironhide. This mold is really fun to transform and has a lot of articulation. The accessories included with MP27 are several and amazing which can give you many ways to pose him. Too many too list but read the description and let your imagination run wild.

Captures the true essence of Ironhide. The mold is nearly perfect and has a great look. Transformation is also fairly intuitive. I recommend the Shadow Fisher hip upgrade, which moves the doors from the hips up to under his arms where they should be. Add that easy to install upgrade, and this is the perfect Transformer.

First off the production photos do not do this figure justice. It looks a lot nicer in hand. The glossy cherry red finish stands out when compared to other Masterpiece figures. His face does not look as long or as bright as the production photos either. He is big and can stand eye to eye with Masterpiece Starscream (Seekers). He stands well, poses well and is solid and blocky how he should be. He transforms into one ugly 80s van that is spot on to the real thing and scales nicely with the other Masterpiece vehicles. His waist is kind of thin from the side which wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t have such a large upper back. Just about all Masterpiece figures have some sort of backpack but Ironhide’s makes him look disproportioned from many angles. His hip kibble does bother me a bit but since he has twin guns I like to think of them as gun holsters. Now if his guns could’ve been stored in that hip kibble it would’ve been awesome. His shoulders are just peg in and will come unpegged and droop if handled too roughly. The twin guns and the jet pack are great additions for this figure. The rest of the accessories are nice but for the most part will not be use. The sleigh is just an unpainted, minimally detailed accessory holder. I’ll more than likely put the sleigh and the rest of the accessories back in the box. Overall the Positives far outweigh the negatives and I would recommend this for display but not so much for play.

I was skeptical about the look of the figure until I got it in my hands. I love it. I don't mind the hip flaps either. The transformation is pretty easy and virtually painless. The size of the bot mode and alt mode are perfect. The articulation is spot on, and you also get a crap ton of accessories. Well done Takara. This is a masterpiece for sure!

This version of Iron hide is a joy to transform, and has good heft and rigidity. The best part though is that he looks right out of the show in every mode. Definitely worthy of the word masterpiece, glad I didn't pass up the opportunity for purchase.

Before this Ironhide, i feel there was no accurate or even convincing 1st generation toy. Who can forget the original first gen, that for some reason was headless???...he looks great, stands tall and has some nice weight to it. Someone put a lot of love into this version of Ironhide and if All MP transformers are this well done, I am going to start collecting

I love the Masterpiece line from Takara Tomy with their G1 interpretations of the Transformers I, and many others, grew up watching. One Transformer who has been horribly represented was the G1 Ironhide, but Takara Tomy has fixed that. Not only is he perfectly represented, Takara has loaded this guy with all kinds of accessories. Ironside was my first Transformer that I purchased with my own money as a kid, and to say the least I was disappointed when he didn't look like he did in the cartoon. Now, finally, Takara has redeemed him in an almost perfect MP edition. Yes, the chrome bumpers could've been done a bit darker and the rear windows o the sides stop right before the rear, but he does look amazing and has so many accessories I'm only sorry I couldn't get him sooner. The sides of his waist look a bit odd with the exposed side panels and he has tires for "sitting" on in robot mode. His head doesn't tilt up, only down so flight mode with the jet pack has limited poses for accuracy. OMG but the jet pack is so cool! His hands have 3 liquid modes: 2 nozzles and one set of outstretched fingers. all in all, a worthy purchase. could've been better but light years ahead from where he started.

これは玩具としてのプレイバリュー、ビジュアル的な観点から見ても素晴らしい出来です。 アニメに近付け過ぎとか、逆に腰パーツがアニメっぽくないとか色々賛否両論ある本商品ですが、 そもそもアニメ通りのスタイルを変形する上に完璧に表現するのは物理的法則を無視したゲッターロボ並みに難しいでしょう。 それでも、比較的アニメのビジュアルを踏襲しつつ、今時なアレンジを少しだけ加えた秀逸な作品だと私は評価します。 また、本商品は「変形させる楽しさ」を体感させてくれる良い変形構成だと思います。 パチン、パチン、と小気味よく嵌まるパーツ、見事に足と一体化する車の側部分など、 良く考えられています。変形させてて本当に楽しい。

El que vaya a comprar esto ya sabe lo que es, así que solo comento que no es un KO, es original, llega bien envuelto y bastante rápido.

This is my first Masterpiece figure. I love it. It feels sturdy, well made and looks amazing and well articulated. However the transformation can be a bit fiddly at times but it's well thought out and generally easy to convert. This doesn't bother me as it more a collectors item and i'm not going to be transforming it often.
