Most amazing and adorable doll I ever encountered
This thing is so fricking adorable words can not describe. For the price, what it does and how cute it is must have item. Many even the stuffed ones that are way more are creepy looking this one is so cute and when it moves its even more adorable. I bought 2 one for me to keep in a box and one for my new grand baby they are doing the theme for the baby shower. So I got to play with the shower one and I fell in love I bought 2 more instantly to have one to play with myself and one for my daughter for a bday gift later. Mind you, I'm 41 years old. I didn't want to leave a review because with all the wonderful reviews the manufacturers always raise the price then no one can enjoy it but at a price and or sell out. So I've waited and with over 15,000 reviews they have kept it at the same price and still have them in stock. Its not cheaply made eaither. My daughter spent more on the build a bear one and it doesn't do anything this one does and that thing is freaky looking, I told her to take it back its scary. Wonderful job manufacture keep doing what your doing because its working wish more companies where like you.

Had Outer Box/Instructions/Size Matters
I don't know if mine shipped a little later and they started boxing them after some bad reviews, but ours came with an outer box and there were some air pillows keeping it in place to add some protection. Baby Yodes was just fine but he was loose in the box. Upon further examination it looks as if he should have been secured with the tiny plastic black fasteners that would have went up into his feet? Ok so this was a pre-order, you hope we weren't getting seconds. Maybe they forgot to put batteries in this batch and had to take them back out of the box to add them? Maybe the batteries were bad by the time they got stateside and the seller replaced them? Guess we might have a clue if others in the run report that theirs were secured in the box. As my family pointed out, shoplifting might be a problem in stores if they arrive this way for retail. There are instructions, by the way, but you have to tear into the back of the box to get them. If you are big into saving display boxes you might care about that I guess. RE: Size. My family didn't care. One member said that the size was accurate compared to some screen shots. I guess my thought was the one that they teased in the Toy Fair Clips, being all animated in his pod, at least appeared larger to me. As we all know the concept toy and the actual product don't always match up. It also seems to me he would not be to scale, as the actual puppet has to fit an adult hand up into it. Just saying. If I were into cosplay, I would probably go with the 11 inch plush version with the vinyl head (which is bigger) for the correct scale. Also that one would be easier to hang onto. Our Child arrived in perfect condition anyway. For the price I paid I feel like he was a good deal. He is precious and expressive. Our house is finally protected by a tiny Force Choker, and just in time for Halloween!

LOVE IT! Photos of the button location and feetsies. Took it apart to upgrade!
Update: I added a section on the bottom of my review covering the disassembly of the animatronic + a photo of my work-in-progress re-sculpting of the face. Note: I bought a โusedโ version of the product which allowed me to get a better price. The only evidence of this toy being first opened by someone else is the box and packaging - the animatronic arrived clean, all parts and pieces including the necklace. The only worrying part is the fact the animatronic arrived loose in his box - which also tells me something about the durability of this toy, as it was able to bounce around for who knows how long during shipping! The package has small pegs that fit into the toyโs feet; either mine was never put back on, or it came loose during transit. I have not noticed any damage to the animatronic, cosmetically or otherwise, so wooo! โโ Yep. Heart lost instantly. I wasnโt expecting the puppet to be in the โtry meโ configuration, so when I picked him up out of the box the first thing that happened was adorable baby noises and gestures, and then a force-arm-raise. The volume is much louder than I was expecting, in a good way! (I just maybe should have waited until everyone in my household was awake before unboxing ๐คฃ) Flipped the switch from โtry meโ to โonโ and heโs been doing a variety of movements and noises. If I leave him alone for a while (standing), he makes noises for a while, but will eventually go and remain silent until someone nudges him or touches his head. Sometimes just picking him up will trigger a response. I bought this animatronic to use as an acting prop when in Mandalorian armor, for a costuming group I joined. The facial expressions and motion-activated โspecial movesโ are fantastic for that purpose. I will need to make the puppet a little more realistic, both out of personal preference and for acting performance. For those wondering about modding their own, or just in general: The head and eyelids are hard plastic. The ears are a soft rubber/latex/something. It has a little bit of stretch to it which is great for helping prevent tears, and seems a durable enough thickness without being TOO thick and ruining the โear membraneโ effect. Iโm glad it means it is far easier to repaint the face and add more details / peach fuzz than I was expecting! It also means the face isnโt gonna fall apart on me over the years right away, since those soft rubber coverings do degrade over time. Ears can be replaced down the road far easier than an entire head sculpt :D The arms are like baby doll arms - just a little flexible hard-rubber give but otherwise hard. The right arm of the puppet does not *automatically* move. It does however have a simple swivel action. โ โ Bonus: I put the robot down in sleeping mode and he stays quiet; but if I reach over and pet his head gently, he makes sleepy noises and it is ADORABLE. Also, useful, because i can have him in โquiet idle modeโ and then cause an acting interaction with hise noise and gestures. Sometimes heโll move his head in his sleep (when prompted) when he makes noises, without opening his eyes, and it adds a nice touch of realism and variety in the gestures that really brings this puppet to life. All in all.... super happy with my purchase. Technology and art have come such a long way - I never expected to recieve such a quality animatronic piece for such an affordable price. Final note; The robotics do make a little noise, but his sound effects honestly seem to drown all that out. I find it easy to ignore. As others have noted, the Mythosaur skull necklace is not metal - some kind of slightly soft plastic, which makes it a lot safer for some of the younger kids. It also has an adjustable cord which is cool! ____ DISASSEMBLY: **DISCLAIMER: Do so at your own risk. You may break your toy, possibly beyond repair. Take photos of every step so you have a reference for re-assembling the figure when done. There's a lot of little parts to be aware of. Also keep track of which screws go where, just in case. The animatronic was WAY easier to take apart than I was worried, but it did take me time and patience to avoid breaking anything. Four screws on the main body takes the back off. Be careful, because the interior is very delicate wiring and the plastic moving parts have a clear lubricant on them you don't want to muck up or get on your fingers. The non-animated arm comes out easy; the other you need to carefully disconnect from it's little swinging piston (this is the arm that lifts when the force-move is activated), without snapping the delicate plastic parts. This is also where the lubricant is mostly situated. There's plenty of space inside the body, which is perfect for modding purposes - I plan on replacing the voice box with a higher quality one and possibly upgrading its sound files. The head does not come off quite so easily - this is the part I was most worried about breaking during removal. I chose to only undo the bottom two screws (instead of removing the entire top assembly) and gently cracked open the head casing, and removed the back. I removed the ears, which slide right off. Each ones has a small plastic rod inside for animating it - be careful not to stress the joints or bend these. To get the front face off, I had to wiggle it a bit and very carefully extract it from the neck opening, as I didn't remove the entire head assembly itself - be gentle, go slow, take your time, don't be afraid to back off and start over. Cracking the head can be fixed, but may be either more trouble than it's worth, and depending on how bad it is, might make re-assembly difficult if you've made a tiny shift somewhere, and the electronics don't fit snugly anymore. The head has a small metal plate atop it; this is loosely seated, so be careful. If it falls out, use a pliers (or rubber gloves) and carefully tuck it back into place (to avoid oils from your skin getting on the metal; crucial for long-term care of your animatronic). With the head-case and ears removed, I settled the ears back into place, then closed the head up and stuffed it with paper towels for additional support, just in case, as I'll be handling it a lot and applying some pressure for my sculpting. If you're sculpting on the model, modifying it, etc - DO NOT TOUCH THE INSIDES unless you really know what you are doing and have a need to. This means being careful not to accidentally get clay over the edges and gunk up the inside, carve too deep and open up a hole in the head casing, etc; the electronics perfectly fit in the interior of the head, and even a small disturbance could affect the fit later. The eyes are also difficult to remove; they are three parts (well, many more than that, but I removed three pieces of their assembly); the painted eyes (clear plastic with eye decal on the interior, each one is its own piece), the eyelids (green plastic piece; this is one item, with a small bar between the eyelids), and the pin that goes through the holes of everything to secure it all as one unit. The pin has one side with a small ridge on it to prevent it from being pulled all the way through the other way - it must be pulled out in the direction it wants to go. Fiddle with it, take your time, and be very, very careful applying pressure to pull the pin free. I actually ended up scattering the eye pieces all over the floor, because I didn't realize the clear eyes and eyelids weren't glued together. I set the eyes and eyelids aside, and re-inserted the pin back into place in its original orientation for safe-keeping. Photos are your friend when it comes time to re-assemble everything. You can not take too many detail shots.

I bought this with free international shipping and the cheapest I found online.
Item performed as described in video. Movement is smooth and sound authentic. there are 3 positions of the switch. You need to switch it to the "ON'" position to get it to do all actions. A very good animatronic item.

Ah, the Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) Star Wars robot doll โ because nothing says โI love Star Warsโ like owning a small, green, somewhat eerie robotic version of everyoneโs favourite Force-wielding toddler. Itโs almost cute, if you ignore the fact that it occasionally stares into your soul with its oversized, unblinking eyes while making random baby noises at 2 a.m. Thatโs right, who wouldnโt want a doll that seems to come alive just when youโre least expecting it? The movement? Itโsโฆ well, robotic. Donโt expect graceful Jedi-level moves โ more like a toddler trying to dance after a nap. Itโll wobble around, make some adorable cooing sounds, and then maybe awkwardly raise an arm like itโs trying to reach for a snack. Just hope it doesnโt short-circuit in the middle of a cute moment, turning Grogu into a budget horror film star. But hey, itโs got the look down! Those big ears, the little robe โ itโs all there, ready to melt hearts (or haunt dreams). If youโve ever wanted your very own robot companion that combines equal parts charm and uncanny valley, this Grogu doll will do the trick.

Adorable addition to your Star Wars universe ...
This "The Child" figure from "The Mandalorian" is just the cutest thing ever. While he's a little on the short side, barely taller than a cell phone, his cuteness more than makes up for his lack of size. First off, he comes packaged in a decent cardboard display box that also in this particular case included the small pendant necklace that Grogu wears later in the series. Grogu is wearing a tan colored twill outfit with faux Sherpa sheepskin cuffs and collar. The jacket or cloak that he's wearing is a bit too long for this size as the fabric just pools at the bottom and honestly the fabric feels cheap. The ears of Grogu are of a soft latex material so that they'll flex and move with his animatronic actions. The head is a hard plastic but is soft to the touch and that's how you animate Grogu. You can either tap his head or rub his head and get him to start acting up. He takes a couple double A batteries that are included and the power switch has three settings - off on and auto. In auto mode he has limited interactions whereas in on mode you have more interactions. Tap or rub his head a few times and he'll even do a force push move. You can also lay him on his back and he will go to sleep. You can rub his head while he's sleeping and he'll make little gurgling noises and snoring noises as he sleeps. Stand him back up and he wakes up again. The voice is very similar to Grogu from the show. His movements are somewhat limited in that he bobbles his head, opens and closes his eyes and the ears will wiggle, and only one arm will move and that's when he's doing the force push. His other arm is on a ball socket and you can move it around, and he will rock back and forth as the base of the toy is curved. So as he's moving his head he may rock around a little bit side to side or front to back. He's not fully interactive and has a limited number of movements and sounds that he makes. I think it is mostly random how he moves or the noises he makes once you've activated him. I like this one's face better than the newer model that comes with more accessories because the mouth is in a single pose and it's a very cute look on his face. The other newer model has a mouth that moves and it's just not as realistic looking. That this is available for more than half off the original list price makes Grogu an absolute bargain. Whether you're a serious Star Wars collector or just looking for a fun accessory to a costume for cosplay or Halloween or just want an adorable little friend, this Grogu is perfect. Are there a few shortcomings? Yes. But overall he is a phenomenal little friend.

In Search of Grogu: A Galactic Quest for the Animatronic Baby Yoda
In a galaxy not so far away, my journey began as I embarked on a quest for the elusive Star Wars The Child Animatronic Edition, fondly known as Baby Yoda. The force was strong with this one, and my excitement reached hyperspace levels. Upon first encounter, the Animatronic Baby Yoda captured my attention with its lifelike movements. The Force-sensitive puppetry brought Grogu to life, from those adorable ear twitches to the mesmerizing levitating act. It felt like having a pint-sized Jedi Master in my own dwelling. The attention to detail in this Galactic treasure is remarkable. The wide-eyed expression, coupled with the tiny robes, is a testament to the craftsmanship that has gone into recreating everyone's favorite green companion. The force is truly with the creators of this animatronic marvel. Interacting with Baby Yoda was a joyous experience. The responsive coos and gurgles melted my heart faster than a lightsaber through butter. The force is strong with the voice activation feature, as a simple "Hello, Grogu" triggered delightful responses that transported me to a galaxy far, far away. One cannot ignore the magic of the touch-sensitive capabilities. A gentle pat on the head or a playful tickle elicited endearing reactions, making the Animatronic Baby Yoda not just a collectible but a delightful companion. However, the quest did have a few minor hiccups. The size of the product is a tad smaller than expected, but this is a minor quibble in the grand scheme of intergalactic joy. Additionally, the need for batteries can disrupt the

Pls check battery compartment
Simply adorable Baby. Anyone buying this baby be mindful of the batteries in the toy.First thing I did was to open the compartment to check for leaks and true enough it was just starting to leak,so I quickly removed the batteries and used tissues to quickly soak up any batt fuel that was leaking .Pls use non alkaline batteries as it may not leak so easily.I did a thorough cleaning up with dry tissue and inserted standard heavy duty Eveready batteries. All great otherwise.Love this fella
