worked as advertised.
Worked as said and did give codes but the codes are only possibilities and you still need to diagnose system. Great starting point and for the money..It did help out.

Works great and is easy to use!!!!!
This works great except it does not have the "check It" feature which gives you a pre-inspection check. I thought that it did when I ordered it. Other than that it works great.

wow
Works good, tells codes to let you know what needs fixed. Fix that particular problem, still car won't start, use code reader again get different problem to fix, still not starting. Guess will have to use until it gives the right code for the problem.

Enables user to see ABS problems
Nice to be able to reproduce error codes given by the mechanics. Those errors seemed to indicate other problems, e.g. TCM, PCM, but they only occurred when the ABS was checked. Therefore, communication with the ABS was the problem. Cheap, good alternative to check ABS, which the cheapest DTC readers do not check.

Quality Reader for Entry Level grade product
I really like this OBD code reader, it's easy to use and does everything you would need for this basic entry level model. I had no problems plugging in and reading/clearing my codes. If you want a detailed definition of each code, diagnostics, live readings, possible fix recommendations, and a link to the cheapest available parts you would want to download the app and sync via Bluetooth to the reader. Data/Wifi will be required as well to use app. One thing to make clear, you do not need a phone, wifi/data or Bluetooth to use this reader. You can simply plug into your car and read your codes and clear them if you want. You'll just have to google what the codes mean to figure out your problem.

so slow as to be nearly useless
This reader is the slowest I have ever seen (see below), DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Could it be intentional to force the buyer to their (much) more expensive models? Connected unit to TWO different cars, mobile is Samsung Galaxy S10 Max. MOBILE IS REQUIRED. First car (2009 Mercedes): REPEATED connection losses, and the app loses connection & has start over (?) whenever the cell phone screen saver kicks in. AND THE APP WILL NOT RUN IN BACKGROUND. Repeatedly tapping toe screen to keep the screen saver off, FINALLY after 7 minutes and 35'ish seconds the app completed download to my cell phone for the 2009. Tried on my 2000 MB, gave up after 10 minutes with the second car. The handset is just a glorified bluetooth adapter with unreadably small images that are useless. I had previously gone to my local shop, which has a $75 self contained reader (not bluetooth), that pulled and displayed the errors in 2 or 3 minutes. (Same results that this unit returned in 7 minutes. I have an older, now discontinued bluetooth reader, that would pull the data in under 2 minutes to my cell phone app (both cars). Buy something else!

Not user friendly
The instructions that came with the product are vague. I had to figure it out by downloading a users manual online. And it wants to connect to wifi in order to work properly. Then it asks for the VIN number of the vehicle (I suspect that it does this in order to sync with the recorded history of maintenance done in the past for the vehicle). I done all that and got the codes, replaced all the parts using manufacturers recommendations from the dealership, and then tested my vehicle using the scanner once again. The second time I tested it, I got the same exact results (even though I had already replaced all the parts with new parts). I'm not sure what to make of that. My car is running way better that it has ever run due to the fact I replaced all those parts with new parts; however, I do not know why it is still giving me the same codes as before. I cleared all the codes and ran the test again. Same results. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. idk The unit is a little tricky. Not that user friendly. For someone like myself who is not a professional mechanic and who does all his own work on the vehicle simply because he can't afford to take it to a mechanic, I would recommend searching for a better scanner. I don't know which ones out there are the best ones, but this scanner seems to lack the technical capabilities required for a "do-it-yourself" mechanic with limited knowledge such as myself. I would have thought that, after replacing all the parts the scanner gave codes for, that would have solved all the issues on my vehicle as far as the check engine light constantly coming on. I cleared it twice and still get the check engine light. I'm probably going to have to take it to someone with better diagnostic capabilities in order to finally get the issues resolved. Either that or buy a better scanner. That's my honest opinion. Mike V. Albuquerque, NM

Perfect to help diagnose engine light code
Works awesome when I used on my Hyundai. It provided me with the code that let me know there was an issue with my Transmission fluid. It saved me money as all I needed to do was go to the oil change location to have my transmission fluid changed. It totally solved my problem with having to go to a mechanic to find out what the engine light code was. Was able to discover the code my self.
