Does 2K@165Hz to my monitor
Got this cable to connect my monitor from laptop. Unlike HDMI, this DP cable is supporting 2K@165Hz. The performance is good as I have used it for hours. But i think if you insert remove many times, cable may not last. But for a fixed use, it will do the job.

Compatible with Macbook Air 2017 Monterey OS LG Ultrawide 45 inch
If you buy a new ultrawide monitor because you want/need to view multiple screens at once, as I did and your macbook air will not allow you to configure the display settings to what is needed for the ultrawide screen to look normal, this inexpensive cord fixed the problem for me. I guess the issue is my mac is considered to be old and can not be updated to any OS beyond Monterey. And therefore, there are no options, even within advanced display settings, such as holding down the option key, etc to select an appropriate screen resolution. I was using a Thunderbolt 2 or mini display port to HDMI cord with my old 24 inch LG monitor with no issues. But, I guess, new monitors like my LG 45 Ultragear model 45GR65DC require a true 4K Thunderbolt cord. Also, I guess it was important to ensure the new cord wasn't HDMI, but was a 4K DisplayPort to Thunderbolt. I am so thrilled. All of a sudden, my display preferences contained more options and allowed for a more customized resolution setting, though it might not be the 5120 recommended, it's 3100. But it's fine. Text is clear and crisp and non-distorted.

Good customer service and great cable. If you get black screen, review full review for a fix
The cable stopped working about 1 month after I installed it. I turned on the monitor and the screen that's connected via this Displayport cable was completely blacked out but not reporting a "No Signal" message. I checked the settings on the monitor and they were still pointing at the Display port. I then moved on to using a different type of cable (USB-c) just to rule out the monitor and laptop. This configuration was working fine so I thought this Display cable had gone bad. Contacted amazon.com support and explained what had happened, they understood the issue and sent me a replacement cable. I Installed the replacement cable about 1 week ago and everything was working fine until this morning when I was about to start work, I turned the monitor on and once again the screen was black. I could understand 1 cable being bad but a 2nd one going bad within 1 week of use! This is now very strange! I did a google search on "displayport cable stopped working" and the very first link (https://tinyurl.com/yjdrxt2q) that I clicked on suggested this: "Try disconnecting the monitor from power for a minute to reset it." WOW THIS FIXED MY ISSUE! but how could this happened we ask? The same person responded: "Not sure, it just happens sometimes with DisplayPort." I just wanted to share this extremely simple fix in case someone runs into the same issues that I did with this Displayport cable.
