N64 AV Cable Composite Video Cord Compatible with Nintendo 64/N64/GameCube/GC/Super Nintendo SNES TV Game (1.8M / 6 Feet) 1 Pack

I wanted to play my old SNES and the RF cable that I had for it ripped and I was constantly cutting and mending all the time. I was sick of doing this and so I decided to see if I could find a replacement. At first, I did not know that SNES also used AV cables. I always wondered what that other larger port was for in the back. I found this and was surprised to find out that that it was also compatible with N64 and Nintendo GameCube. I've never owned either one but that was interesting. I ordered this and the price was pretty reasonable. It got here nicely packaged, brand new. It works perfectly and so I am able to play my old SNES once again.

I bought this a little over a year ago, but never gave it a review, so here it is: It worked on both my Nintendo 64 and Gamecube (I don't need it for anything else, though I believe it is also compatible with the SNES). I purchased this after not being able to find my original cable - what a surprise. I remember it taking about a month to get to me (I live in the US) and the second it arrived, I ran to my Nintendo 64, popped in Banjo Tooie, and after a couple of "turn it on, turn it off"s, it WORKED! The fact that I had to turn it off and on was not the cable's fault, it has always been like that. I believe I paid somewhere around $2 for it, which was a steal considering it was also free shipping! Overall I am very happy with this purchase and it has allowed me to relive many of my favorite video games. *wipes away tear dramatically*

I was a bit worried with all of the reviews saying it didn't work but I decided to take a chance. It is a little flimsy but I expected that. When I first hooked it up it didn't work and I thought it was the new av cable, but I don't jump to conclusions. I went and got my back up ac adapter, apparently my adapter was bad, and it works great. Spent the evening playing super Nintendo with the kids, they had a blast.

I see a lot of reviews saying the device breaks after a week or month and I'm here to tell you all to not let the reviews scare you away from enjoying your Nintendo consoles. With all things comes with very non strong feeling parts (if I made any sense with that). The cable feels very light and looks like i could easily break it if I constantly move and throw it around. BUT With the right care and handling this AV Cable should last you as long as your old Nintendo Console. From personal experiences I recommend the AV Cable for people who plan on keeping their console in one place. If you're gonna buy it for constant moving around then i recommend not getting the cord. You can make the cord last long if you keep the cord plugged into your console at all times and making sure to safely tie your cords up to reduce the insides of the cords getting messed up. A lot of the time the cord can get damaged because of it being unplugged all the time, so keep your console ports clean and keep the cord plugged in and you shouldn't have any problems.

So, I have received this cable a while back, little before the holidays. I don't use my Nintendo 64 as much as I would like to but I have used to with this AV cable since I didn't have another one. So far, it has been working great, I haven't noticed any video lagging/freezing nor have had any audio problems. The audio always comes through and it is as clear as it can be. So far haven't had any issues, and the cables fit perfectly into the Nintendo 64 and the switch that I have for my older consoles. Couldn't be happier to be able to play Mario Kart 64 again :D

First off i am going to say Very cheap quality, it did not work for me at all. After taking the cable apart I noticed that the left audio (Mono) and the composite video pins were not even making contact with the multi out port on the back of my SNES therefor making this cable useless. The ground pin and right audio pin did make contact with my SNES. I included pictures showing how the pins inside the plastic housing looked; both the good ground pin and right audio pin, and the missing composite video and left audio pins. I tried fixing it after the pictures were taken but the delicate pins broke. I will be buying an official Nintendo AV Cable to replace this.

Why not let's go off the Xanax with this one for git's and shiggle's hey. This cord is amazing. It offers the new technology of the ages allowing attachment to the superior RCA format of connector. The striking contrast of the life giving blood red , yellow that could only be defined as having the delicasy and creaminess of egg yolk and the absence of life defining white provide a true striking contrast that only the world's finest artisan's could possibly hope to create. The black hole darkness of the length of the cord is wrapped in only the finest rubber by the hands of the wonderful 8 year old children who operate the machines. Truly a work of art by any standards of such , this cord is to be purchased and displayed in a place of honor in a room of your house were only treasured guests are allowed passage. There are rumors this has been hung in the private halls and studies of royalty. It has even been whispered that Kim Jong Un has the largest collection in the world in a salt mine guarded by the north's finest military force , hand picked by him. I think this say's it all.

I saw some iffy reviews on this and several other similar listings, but they're all cheap and I needed a cord, so I took the $4.65 risk. The RF cable I've had with my N64 (the one that goes into the cable screw-in port) doesn't work on my new HDTV, so this cord was my only chance at playing it without having to get an older TV. And...it works! I've played some games on it already, and I haven't had any problems yet. I think it's worth the gamble.

I bought a Nintendo 64 from a pawn shop and it came with cruddy Coaxial video cables. Needless to say the video quality was horrid. This AV Cable has changed all that! I can now see the picture clearly and I just found out it worked for Gamecube as well! So now instead of using low quality coxial for one and a very questionable multi-av cable for the other, I have this that supports both systems perfectly with no issues at all. It was a great price and came at a great value, thanks Amazon!
