I declined and figured it was the transducer after reading similar stories about bad transducers on the web
Purchased this product to replace the original transducer that came with my Humminbird portable unit. After 5 years my system began to have issues by showing inaccurate depths, clutter and was unable to adjust and view bottom structure. When the water temperature reading suddenly disappeared from the screen I contacted Humminbird and the technician told me it was probably the transducer. They mentioned if I was interested, to ship the entire unit for evaluation and testing to confirm if the problem was the transducer or something else. I declined and figured it was the transducer after reading similar stories about bad transducers on the web. The new transducer shipped complete with bracket, suction cup and necessary hardware. My unit is working normal again with no issues.

It connected easily (as it's suppose to) and works fine. That's the key for a replacement part, at a reasonable price.

Just Like Original
I forgot to take the original off the boat before heading back to the dock and crossed some very rough water. The transducer came off and ended up getting cut off by the prop. This unit was identical to the original, plugged right in and has not failed in over a year.

Works great!
Works good, lost the last one when a big pike snagged the wire. Didn't clean the suction cup so it wasn't a strong hold. Almost lost the whole finder, if cleetus didn't grab it and cut the wire. Heck of a fishing trip. It works as good as the one that came with it. I reckon I'll buy it again if I lose this one.

I've had 2 of these. They work ok for a couple of months, then they just stop working. I like the system as a basic depth finder, but man, if I have to buy one of these every couple of months it's just not worth it.
