I tried using this product with the same brand's color gels and it still peels off after a day or two, with base, color gel, & topcoat under uv. Why?

I understand that’s upsetting. The only possible way gel can peel off if there’s moisture. First, nails must be very dry and your base coat must be under UV light for 180 seconds. Then add your polish for 270 seconds. Hit 90 seconds 3 times. touch your nails at this point to see if they are dry and hard. Then apply top coat and make sure you do 270 seconds. These home UV machines or at least mine isn’t as strong as salons. A final tip: Do not put your hands under water for at least 4 hours after. Mine stay 30 days doing the above steps.

Do you need any type of lamp to dry these polishes?

UV/LED drying lamp. Just like you need for curing gel polish. I purchased the LuxeUp 54 watt for $30 on amazon.

Do you need the uv lamp or can you just wait for it to dry on its own?

You need the UV/LED nail lamp. It doesn’t dry on its own. I got a bit of the top coat on the bottle and thought I had wiped it off, but over a week later when I picked it up I had sticky top coat on my fingers that I had to wash off.

The base coat isn't meant to dry after curing. It stays tacky for colour gel to adhere to and set alongside that curing.

Good quality and shine

I’ve used a lot of at-home gel top and base coats and this set surprised me. The base goes on smooth and levels nicely, and the top coat gives a really glossy finish without that sticky layer, which I love. It cured evenly under my LED lamp and didn’t wrinkle or bubble. I’m about a week in and haven’t had any chipping yet, even with normal daily use. It still looks freshly done. Removal was also pretty standard, no harder than other gel systems I’ve used. The brush is a little wider than I’m used to, so you have to be careful near the cuticles at first. Once you get used to it, it’s easy to work with. Overall this is a really solid set for the price. I’ll keep using it.
